I'll take a draw if it means the Indians don't win the series on Australian soil.

India already ahead 2-1... a draw doesn’t change that...

They’ve been the better side by far.   Deserve to win the series.

certainly dont deserve a draw!
I'd prefer we lose actually....something is very wrong with Aussie cricket currently,  a bit more humiliation might make them change what ever it is has gotten them like this.
Luckily they went on strike a while back demanding more money, they've certainly shown how much they deserved it......NOT!!!!
Rain rain go away, the Aussies don't deserve a draw today...lol.

Agree, performance is akin to 'Graded Cricket in the Sub-Districts' from when I grew up.
They don't deserve to 'Represent Australia'.

Best sledge so far was from the Indian keeper referring to the Aussies as the NZ reserve grade

Yep, I'd agree with those thoughts.

As for the more money, why would they try - they get more for less.

Best days play by far for the Aussies!

As for Faf suspension overnight for 1 over short ....
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/du-plessis-suspended-for-south-africa-s-slow-over-rate-20190107-p50pxm.html

'after match referee David Boon imposed the suspension having found South Africa to be one over short of their required number in the Test'

1 over short? Suspension and 20% of match fees? You gotta be joking... yea 5-10 overs I can understand....

Play has been abandoned, due to weather, not for the lack of an Australian Cricket team.

Well played India

This guy makessome interesting points

https://twitter.com/brydoncoverdale

eg: Remember the old benchmark of 1000 runs in a Shield season? Happened nearly every year from 1987 to 2009.
Now there's not a single active Shield player who has ever made 900 in a season let alone 1000. Not one player.
That's where Australian batting is at right now.

It's basically two full years since any Australian besides Lyon, Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc has taken a Test wicket in Australia.
It was Steve O'Keefe, in the Sydney Test against Pakistan in the first week of 2017.

They were winning when going on strike. And only wanted a better share of the gate takings. Fair enough in my opinion.

Play like crap now, gate takings go down. Fair enough too.

Either way, I can’t see what the pay negotiations has to do with the struggles the team is going through now.

Without warner and smith, and a roughed up ball, what do you expect.

they were hardly dominating world cricket.....i didn't believe they deserved a big pay rise back then, and thier actions since have only proven that fact in my eyes, but each to thier own. The money Sheffield shield players are getting for the gate numbers attending is ridiculous also IMO,

Without those 2 we should still be competitive at least.

Surely there are enough good players in the country to be able to replace 2 players? What if they were injured... not cheating scum?

Yep it's a team sport, there are more then one or two batsmen only to score runs.  Major fail.

Perhaps, but gate takings includes those who don’t go through the gate to watch, but watch on Tele or internet or listen on radio.

If it was only based on attendance at the game then probably time to shut shop for state cricket, and probably the NRL and ARU at the same time.
