Kohli does want to bat last, who can blame him.
They are 290 in front now, bat hard and fast for a few hours, get 450 in front then declare
and go in for the kill.
Perfect strategy really.
Au has no chance of the 290.... why not trounce them with an innings and 190 run defeat.. that would play on the Aussies mind a lot .

Amused the way the commentators along with all their dribble are talking up the chance of the Aussies winning.

It will be interesting to see if the Indians can post a big 2nd innings score. If they can, it confirms the Aussies are just outclassed. If not, it may be that the pitch has deteriorated a lot and whoever batted first was always likely to do well.

Really?  David Hussey on ABC said 8% chance yesterday, and about 5% chance today. Derk Manus (however spelt) probably thought less of a chance.

Whoever Prime has as commentators.  They are hopeless and I only had the tv turned up enough to if something, anything happened on field.  Definitely not to listen to their waffling dribble.

I remember Norman May commentating on ABC decades ago - no drivel, no 'expert' comments - just commentated on what was going on.. sorta what Richie B preached but the Ch9 team were famous for dribble.
'expert' comments ruin the AFL commentary :(

Gotta agree with him.  Been that way since Pigeon left and they kicked out Stuart Clarke.  Any quick since then has only been successful by bowling in such a manner to frustrate the batter into playing a stupid shot.  Line and length are something you just don't here of anymore.  Aim at the stumps and improve your chances of getting a wicket instead of putting it up there to get pelted around the paddock.  Can't bat, can't bowl.

Gotta agree with him.

The quicks lost the plot on the opening day of this 4th test.
They negated any movement that may have been present in the first 10 overs and bowled way to short, for most of the day.

Love the sledge from Indian batter comparing the Aussies to a New Zealand seconds team...lol...currently pretty accurate.

That don't make sense does it?  All McGrath did was bowl till the batsman got themselves out through boredom. Best player against him was kaluwithranera from SL because he took him on. Otherwise, most wickets he got anyway was because of Warne. Take Warne, Gilchrist and Ponting out of the side and replace them with the next best and Australia would have been crap by comparison.

Anyway, doesn't matter much now, best batsman in the country are wade and Short and even they can't get a game for Australia because of the selectors. All gone to Shit really. Smith and warner will be the cricketing messiahs me thinks.

more chance of getting someone out by aiming at the three sticks then all over the place and hope something happens and you have a field in the general area to take a catch

listening to few mins today on way back from pub lunch, they were complaining that the bowlers had forgotten all about the 3 sticks totally - x overs and not one at the stumps...> that the bowlers were bowling Shit that was copping what it deserved...  strange ploy...

yeah I watched some of it and just ridiculous.  Commentators going on about the quicks bowling speeds over 150km/h.  But no where near the stumps, with some that far down leg side, keeper could only just get a glove to it before it raised off for four byes.  forget pace, go back to accuracy.  that is what broke Brett Lee, rather then let him bowl at the stumps they wanted him bowling faster and he kept breaking.

Another successful day for teh aussies LMAO!

Gee, I'd say there are a few players who should be nervous about their positions, inc the captain.
Marsh could go around and club the Indian bowlers with his bat and still not get dropped. Maybe a solution..

I feel it unfair to put all the blame on the bowlers like some articles and hasbeen aussie players are doing in the press at moment.

We are doing that way, India has enforced the follow on.  With one and a bit days, hopes of rain, we might be able to play for a draw.
