2026 FNQ Myswag Easter get-together at Glen Gordon Station

G'day fellow Myswaggers,

I have spoken with Mary the owner of Glen Gordon Station up here in far North Queensland and I have booked a site [The Big Hole] on her property for our anual Easter get-together. We as a group did spend easter on Glen Gordon in 2023 but at a different camping spot.
This years event will be held over the Easter weekend -Thrusday 2nd April til Mon 6th April.

This event is open to all Myswag members if you up here in North Queensland during the Easter time , come along and meet some of your northern cousins.

With Easter coming at us faster than a freight train , I thought that I should put a post up of this years gathering .

I will endeavor to go for a drive out there in the near future , and take some photos .

Glen Gorden has river side camping , no facilities - eg toilets, showers , limited mobile phone service and is approx 20 kms away from Innot Hot Springs , so not that far to travel from the Cairns and Tableland areas .

There fee is very affordable at $50 per vehicle for the Easter long weekend. I will need to check that this is still the going rate. .

As normal you can pay me and I will make a bulk payment to the owners .

If you are interested in coming along , stick ya name up and I will start a list .

The normal pot luck joint dinner will take place on the Saturday night - for those who have not been on one of these gathering a pot luck dinner is where you cook up a feed and bring it to the table and we all share each others meals .

I have been informed by the owners that the site that I have booked is ok for swimming, fishing and potting .

G'day fellow Myswaggers,

 After talking to Mary from Glen Gorden a couple of days ago she has said that due to all the rain that we are getting , she has doubts that her property will have dried out enough for us to be able to get to the camp site.

I have now talked to Kate at Woodleigh Station and although all their sites have been booked out she is going to let us set up on the Horses Paddock. 
Ok its not on the creek but its only another 50 metres from where we hold our Christmas function , you can still be overlooking the creek if you choose .

There are toilets and showers available to campers , this is covered by the camping fee.
