2025 Myswag Christmas get-together at Woodleigh Station
G'day peoples , Tis that time of the year again where I get to nag everyone about this years Christmas get-together.
As per the last decade and more this years event will be held at Woodleigh Station , I have booked our normal spot between the dates of Thursday the 11th of December through to the Monday the 15th of December .
For those who have never attended on of these great functions heres a little bit of info about Woodleigh and the function .
Woodleigh Station is a far nort north Queensland cattle property and is easily accessible from Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands.
20 minute drive from Ravenshoe to the homestead along the Kennedy Highway.
About 22 kilometres out of Ravenshoe, turn left at the white 44-gallon drum that says "Woodleigh". (If you cross the Wild River or reach Innot Hot Springs, you've gone too far).
Follow the dirt road for about 3.5 kilometres until you see cattle yards and the homestead gardens on the left.
You've now reached Woodleigh Station and we hope you enjoy your stay.
I have booked our camp site ( bloody big area beside the Millstream River ) fom Thrusday the 11th Dec through to Mon 15th Dec.
There will be a large under tarp area set up where we can meet and eat - oh yea - and have a few drinks as well .
Generators are allowed , but please be mindfull of other families
A fire can be arranged - will need to collect fire wood .
Afternoon nibbles under the covered area both Friday and Saturday - from around 3pm - sort out between your selves what when to bring to the table .
Saturday night will be a Pot Luck Dinner at the undercover area . Pot Luck Dinner is where you cook up a feed and bring your meal to the table , everyone else has done the same . You can try everyones meal or what ever takes your fancy . Normally meals on the table around 7 pm .
