I opened the shed door, which hadn't been opened in about 2 weeks, and the heat nearly knocked me on me bum. Thought I'd restock the fridge, as Coke was running low. I dropped a can from about 500mm high, it hit the bottom edge of the fridge cabinet, and exploded. Warm Coke shot about 2M across the floor, and into the bottom of the fridge. Never had a can do that before, but it was about 50deg in the shed at the time.
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan.

Today I continued to move things out(beds, pianola, clothes and so on) and into our newly renovated house, because we were going to be living the shed, we had it insulated, so with a recent heat wave(29c ;D ) it was a cool 20c inside, I'm gunna love this shed :cup:

Made a couple more recovery hooks today for some mates, this brings us to about 12 I've made now.  It's a bit of work, grinding, cutting and welding etc, but it keeps me out of trouble for awhile  ;D

Helped the daughter move some more stuff out and screwed the supports in for the new bench, can't do a lot at the moment as I tripped over Thursday morning and broke some ribs, going in for Xrays on Monday, Think I may have done some damage this time, I'm hoping for the best, but I'm not as young as I was the last time I did them ???

Decided to change a couple of things.
I had a 220W house panel hinged on the roof basket. I've got a few of these, which I have accumulated over the last couple of years.
They weigh about 16kg, so in trying to cut on weight, the 80 series has put on a little in the last couple of years.
I acquired 4x RV panels, they are 170W, and only weigh 9kg.
So I installed 1 on the basket(hinged, so I still have storage), and a second as a wind deflector.
I now have 340W of solar, :)
Took the old girl for run, very quiet, no wind noise.
Parked it in the sun for most of the day, a little cloud about, battery at 98%, fridge and the freezer working great. :)

While I was in the mood to be doing stuff, I installed a rotating flashing light on my Remote control mower.
:)

Contemplating getting a portable, rechargeable one for the I-Mu, working on the concept that a flashing yellow light is more visible to oncoming traffic ???

Copy & paste that, hope it works.

But when I looked into it a bit further, it turns out that you apparently can't legally mount one on a private vehicle! e.g. Qld but all states are much the same:

(b) a special use vehicle may be fitted with 1 or more flashing yellow lights

(3) A vehicle may be fitted with a light or reflector not mentioned in these standards only if the light or reflector is required or permitted to be fitted to a vehicle under an Act.

(4) A vehicle, other than an exempt vehicle or a special use vehicle, must not be fitted with a light that flashes.

(6) In this section—
exempt vehicle means any of the following vehicles—

(a) a police vehicle;
(b) an emergency vehicle;
(c) a transport enforcement vehicle;
(d) an Australian Border Force vehicle;
(e) an Airservices Australia vehicle.

special use vehicle means any of the following vehicles—

(a) a vehicle built or fitted for use in hazardous situations on a road;
(b) an oversize light vehicle authorised to be driven on a road under a guideline or permit issued under part 3;
(c) a vehicle built or fitted to accompany—
(i) a vehicle mentioned in paragraph (b); or
(ii) a heavy vehicle that—
(A) is an oversize vehicle within the meaning of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Queensland); and
(B) is being used on a road under a mass or dimension exemption within the meaning of that Law;
(d) a vehicle, whether or not a school bus, fitted with warning lights and warning signs under the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Standard 2010, schedule 1, part 4, section 19 or 25(1)

Yeh like most Bash vehicles would be breaking a law then, what about hazard lights. Just opening this up for more dialogue 😎 That must be why BMWs don't use their blinkers. 😂 Over here in WA notice a lot don't use them compared to SA. I'd plead ignorance & take a chance.

In 30yrs driving work Ute's with flashing lights I've had the neighbours knock on the door a few times to tell me the light is on.
The amount of times we would be telling each other to turn our lights off when leaving site was unreal
 Have only once had a mate pulled up by a copper because his light was still flashing. Got a warning.
 Personally while I can see the potential benefits i wouldn't risk it.

I'm guessing they've been given special approval?

Thanks. That's what I thought was a possibility, reading the rules.

To me, they make absolute sense to have & use, especially when driving in the country, but obviously not to the people in their air-conned office in the City!  ::)

We have them on our work vehicles, for stopping / working in trafficable areas, pedestrian areas or on construction sites/ projects.
We had to carry a letter/ certificate of permission from the local chief inspector of the police in the glove box (chief inspector or Rockhampton police in this case) in case we were pulled over. One of the conditions is you are not allowed to travel with the beacon flashing/ on unless escorting another vehicle or about to stop in a location that could cause a hazard to other traffic users.
