Whatever happened to the MSM with reporters on the ground just showing us what's really going on?

Not hard to see why our betters want to censor the citizen internet to control the narrative.
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

They should be kept within the property, not on the street or nature strip.

There are storage facilities if space is not available within the property...

In Yamba,
There are caravans on the road in some residential areas, big vans as well.
I've been told, by a couple of people now, who had campertailers in the double driveways, that the local council Had asked them to move them, out of sight.
When questioned the council officer had nothing to say about the vans parked on the road or front lawns.

Being semi rural/residential here, some people have put 20ft shipping containers in their front lawns, some have been asked to move them to the back yard and some haven't been asked.

Wonder if it comes down to someone complaining about it.

I suspect there is no simple solution to this. ie It is a registered vehicle on a public road. In that regard it is no different to a truck or a bus or any other large vehicle etc etc. Playing devil's advocate - if I own a van and usually park it on my own land, then decide to do some building work that necessitates parking the van on the street for a period of time, should I be allowed to? I sometimes visit family and spend a week or so living in their home which requires that I park my caravan on the street for that time. Is that unreasonable?

If we agree that short term arrangements are ok how does the council legislate for that or indeed police it? I suppose they could introduce a permit arrangement but what a PITA that woud be.

Me personally dont have an issue with it - rather them parked up than being towed : ;D. Theres a van near my place thats being 'lived in' for few years now with extension leads etc leading to it.

But I guess it depends if you park like this bloke

If you can't get it into your property either don't buy it or pay to store it. Exceptions for visitors up to 4 weeks.

Come and drive around Grafton on weekend, plenty of Primemovers parked up in driveways or on the street in residential.
Must drive their neighbours nuts.

How stupid! I would not like to be the family living over the street from that. Accident (preventable disaster) waiting to happen. Authorities must never venture down that street.

Had a group of renters move in up the street (jammed-in, cars everywhere).
One of them is a driver for a car transport company.
He started parking his tilt-tray in the street opposite our house (we face a river reserve).
A call to his company, and another to the local council, and the truck was gone....
