.....Leave the camper off, I'm not doing the Old Coach Road with a camper on again.

But that was what made it for me.... ;D ;D

Yeah true, but I've done it twice now with the camper on - in both directions.  Might have an easier run this time :)
Do not PM me for technical advice - start a thread.

Engineers have found major cracks in the Jardine Ferry hull
?? It's looking like the ferry won't be back in the water until at least mid July - council will be releasing a statement Monday

I believe the main group trip is not a goer.
We, as in Aussie Iron and my sister in our Canters (2 of) are leaving out of Cairns on the 16th July and you would be more than welcome to join us.
Also, " Symon " is apparently going earlier than us, His dates I believe are [ we are heading up on the 24/6 and back on the 7/7 ] so this is another option. You would need to message him.

Apologies all but I have been flat out with work over the past couple of years (ramped up over the past 12 months) doing 5 different positions fixing different issues in the organization and progressing major organizational change. I was supposed to have my pick of job opportunities to apply for earlier this year but it just keeps dragging on and on. It now looking like June / July when I will need to be around to apply.

I am still trying to get my 4x4 ready in the vain hope I can still go this year. I haven't even been able to get out for a weekend of fishing this year so far. As advised above I know there are a few groups still planning on going and have set dates so if your keen ping them up / post here as they have all done the Cape previously.

We are looking at being in Cooktown around the 8th August.
Will be towing the homebuilt hybrid so will spend most of our time on the PDR with side trips.
Probably be at Alua beach around 15th or so.

What a differance 18 years makes, just replaced the original brakes on the camper in prep for the June trip north, .......... they've done quite well, all things considered !!

There's a really good chance that we will still be up there. Probably at or near the top. If you see us give us a yell ( we are really hard to miss ).
