Proud Parents here.
Our youngest, received the keys to his property, a stones throw from us, I mean a stones throw, 100 meters.
The loan amount scares the crap out of us, just under half a Mil.
Those of you, that saw Jack last, it was at Mansfield, National Myswag Meet.
He has completed his apprenticeship as a Fitter & Turner, Harwood Sugar Refinery, in a great relationship with his girl, who is starting her journey in nursing.

Nice work Hairyone.... now think of all that extra cash you'll have for trips!
Congrats Hairs, it's a great feeling not having a mortgage to worry about, it certainly takes a load off.
this big boofhead here.
at 11.5 year of age... he's been having a hard time the last year. Clearly in pain and limping when he walks sometimes.
took him to the vet last week and xrays confirmed it's age and arthritis.
We've had him on Antinol tablets and hemp oil since just before XMAS and they're helped.
But on Friday at the vet, they gave him an injection to the joint. And now he's a new dog. Trotting around, no limping. He'll get the injection once a month for the next two months then he switches to every three months then every six.
just really happy to see him no longer limping and in pain.
You beat

It is a good feeling Hairs. For us it has meant that we can now plan the next part of our life's journey. We have an appointment with our financial advisor next week as we plot out our road to retirement.
Thanks Rags,
It's a weird kinda a feeling.
Not having to think about the $$$ needed every week for repayments.
That's nearly $1800 a month we can put towards, a weekend away, help the kids, catch up with friends at pub more often for a meal out.
Being able to now think about subdivision of our two acres and help set up the kids.
It also means, when it comes to my business, not stressing as much about it.
If I don't get the job, so be it.
Happy Days.
Cheers

My dog has been getting stiff and showing signs of pain. The vet recommended a course of injections (3i think ) and 4cyte for dogs 1.5ml once a day for a 30kg dog

It has done wonders for her. I figured that if it wasn't working or stopped working that we could have $500 worth of injections later

I remember many years ago, when getting a lecture on workshop safety with compressed air, we got told to never blast it on your skin, towards your face etc and all the usual warnings. Then at the end of the lecture the instructor told us a story about someone doing the same thing to a bloke as a joke, with a similar outcome. This would have been mid 70s.
Had a phone call today,
From a bloke I use to hang out with 40 years ago.
3 hours later, It left me thinking, WOW, it was like it was yesterday since we had spoken to each other.
He'd used FB to find me.
For all the knockers of FB, it does have it's good points.
As Maxwell Smart would say.
If only they used it for good and not evil, Chief.

Agree. must be the weather. I recently had the same thing happen, with a similar timeline since we'd seen each other. We both had ski boats in our younger days & spent a lot of time at Blanchetown. we had plenty to talk about.
Saw mention yesterday concerning Nanotubes.
They're usually made out of carbon, & so are referred to as CNTs, as C is the designation for carbon.
Chinese researchers have been experimenting with making them out of copper, rather than carbon, so to differentiate from CNTs, they've decided to stick with the chemical designation for copper: Cu
You really didn't think about that one, did you? >:D
