G'day all,
We have an Outback Sturt soft floor rear fold. It's a brilliant camper except for one thing. The step up to the bed. We both have old and wonky arthritic knees and the step up to the bed is far too high as in the attached pic. We are using a small step to get up to the step but from there to the bed is a stretch. Does anyone have any ideas ? We've been thinking of some sort of ladder or some other arrangement but have come up with nothing that's really workable.
Just get a small step ladder that will attach at the top of the bed, that's what MDC had with our camper, it had four steps from the bottom to the top. ;)

Moeite, I have an aluminium set of steps that came with my camper that we never use, You are welcome to them, your only cost then would be frieight. They have a lip which just slips over the top edge of your trailer.
I can give you the name of a good orthopaedic surgeon. We have a similar set up with the access to the bed and a climb. Two new knees and no more problems.
Or go with Foo's suggestion. There are some really good telescopic ladders available. Lightweight and don't take up much room. I carry a folding step ladder so I can clean the solar panels on the roof of our pop top hybrid. Too big for your requirements but there are smaller ones available if the telescopic doesn't make the grade.
Looks like Pottsy might have the solution for you. His response landed as I was typing.

Moeite, put a message into my son in law to see if he can help with freight for you. I will let you know what he comes up with.
But they won't work Pottsy ???
They're sideways! ;D >:D

& you always thought it was too many  before you went to bed! ;D
Thank you one and all, especially Pottsy for the kind offers.
My wife, thinking outside the box, found a swimming pool ladder that fits the bill perfectly and is cheap too. It folds up flat and can be stowed on top of the tent part of the camper along with the poles, etc. She found it on faceache buy swap and sell and the seller is within walking distance of our place... ;D ;D ;D

Just be careful with it on the floor of the tent, they can slip at the worst milli-second...
