Hi everyone,
I wanted to start this thread for any last minute details that you think we haven't covered yet or something that the rest of the members should know. Can we try to keep this thread on topic so that the important information is available for those of us attending this trip.
Thanks
Karen
So my first couple of things are:
Don't forget extra sand pegs!
What UHF channel should we use so that we can make contact - 38?
38 is a uplink to a repeater. 31-38 (no go)

Maybe stick to 40 until we are all together on Saturday and decide from there......
Essentials.
An Extensive First Aid kit.
A Fire Extinguisher.
Plenty of red bull :o, medicines, berocca :o, pain killers, and also some for the kids (if you are bringing them).
A MySwag stubby cooler for each hand.
Some waffles.........you know, for dessert maybe or chit chat???
A gazebo or awning for beach gatherings and parties.
A vehicle and camping permit. :police:
All I can think of at the moment.........
Decision made, we will stick to channel 40 until we are all together.

Glad you asked Karen :P
Is there mobile coverage on the island? Not that I want to make a call but I want to hook up to the net to do something very important ;)
On a different note we are thinking of giving our kids a whistle on a lanyard in case they are bailed up by a dingo. I don't think I would be giving Murph one though... ;D

I too have that important thing to do, but I am quite sure there is only "some" coverage for telstra around Eurong on the beach. There is a small mobile tower just north of Eurong. I too am looking into this currently Berger. I'll let you know my plans when made. 8)

Nah, I think they will run the other way when they get sight of him. We too have lanyards prepared, but whistles are on the shopping list to get from the cheap cheap shop next week. Some sort of parental telepathy going on there..... ;)
