Yes. That would be great. Sorely missed last year.
We would love to see it up and running as well.
I was a bit surprised at the amount of money changing hands for the pub and bakery (previous purchase), shows what tourism will do.

Little bit worried though that the same people own the two major things in the town ???
Hope they don't decide that there's no competition so ... ::)

In a places like Birdsville not unusual to see. I think I mentioned before that the Marble Bar motel and servo, general store and caravan park are in same ownership. As stand alone business all three might struggle.
I guess you are suggesting prices will be less than competitive. Maybe that's the price we pay for outback travel.
The Roadhouse just changed hands recently.

Spot on, if there was another bakery of some creed [Beechworth perhaps] across the
road they would be out of business very quickly.
Just hope they can afford to stay open as I'm pretty sure when they were getting finance (before lockdown) they factored in a normal winter trading season which won't happen.

I could certainly understand if the Races and the Bash don't happen, between the two I would imagine it being the greatest part of their annual profit. Hopefully by then we might be allowed to travel again, but it really isn't looking good.

The bash is already cancelled
