Is it spelt draw bar, or drawer bar?
The triangle thingy on the front of most trailers that connects the whatchyamacallit to the doohickey..
or is it 'Drawbar'?
Uneducated as I am, Ive only ever Known of them referred to as a Draw bar or an A Frame and that too ^^^ . ;D
Just asked the bride, who does a bit of proof reading states it can be 'draw bar' or 'drawbar' but not 'drawer bar'.
She went on at great length to explain but I stopped listening.
;D ;D ;D Bugger , Then you didnt hear the bit where she said go sit in the shade with a beer and I'll bring you another when you finish it ..
Might need to sharpen up that attention span a little, Al .. ;D ;D
Since it 'draws' the trailer along I am going to vote for the former. A drawer is a compartment which slides out of a piece of furniture - or the bloke writing me the cheque. A cheque is ...... old.
Depends if your draw bar has a drawer on it

Since it drags the trailer along behind the car I'm going with drag bar
I'd back the expression 'draw bar' even if you put a hyphen in there.
A draw bar can be a single pole arrangement also. Just like with a horse drawn vehicle.
Exactly - you draw the trailer along behind the car. Drawbar!
Drawbar only the Yanks would try and spell it differently. ;D

Or it could be the drawer at the back of the bar, where the
barman, sorry barperson, keeps the coasters ??? >:D
does it matter?
Landcruiser, Land Cruiser or LandCruiser?
