Just purchased a Waeco 75ltr fridge that just fits into the back of the cruiser for the Kimberley Trip and considered getting a drop down fridge slide. Holy moley they are not cheap for the fridge size. The ones I looked at are over $900.
Looks like I will get some assistance taking it out of the car when needed.

Is the fridge for drinks or food ?
I've never understood why fridge slides are always massive overpriced.

I think they charge by the kilo, 'cos they're pretty heavy too.....

agree totally... great devices, but they'd sell 10x as many at 1/2 the price and their profits would go thru roof...
but as Geoff says, they are fuggin heavy too.. add that to the weight of a full 75ltr... which I'm tipping you wont be moving too often when its full!
Hey Mark,
Have you though of making one yourself?

Expensive? yes (paid about 600 before the prices all went up. heavy?kinda but nothing over the top considering how well made they are , would I buy one again? hell yes lol have to say best thing I have brought in a long time misses loves it being able to drop the fridge down from the draws onto the tail gate, also lockable making my fridge a lot harder for scumbags to try and pinch.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171119/95be534f99358e09631302c6ddeb5593.jpg)

I was lucky enough to come across a post on FB when someone said they were selling a dropslide. Sent off a message and snagged a MSA40 slide for $350. Had to drive to Albury to get it but had friends to visit in Corowa so made a weekend of it. Very happy with the dropslide.

That's what I thought when I moved to a CRUISER from the 'Trol. Pulled the fidge out but couldn't open the lid because the top tailgate was in the way. Kinda made the fridge unusable. :'(

I was lucky to have a freind who just bought the 75ltr waeco and we tested it in the back of the cruiser and it fit perfect and access to the fridge was just right.

We had the MSA drop slide and ditched it when we reconfigured the storage in the car due to weight considerations. Was it an awesome piece of kit? For sure. I even used to say it was worth what we paid for it. But with the redesign we did we don't need it now. So in the grand scheme of things I'd say they probably aren't worth it... Each to their own - for us it didn't end up working out.
Why not stack the drawers instead of side by side and put the fridge slide in the recess, try and think a bit laterally

The draws are not designed to be stacked plus will have a 40ltr fridge on the the side for my medication
