I didn't do the velcro straps up properly last time I rolled up the awning and it has worn/teared.
Whats the best way to repair this?

I've used Tear Aid (http://trailercamperaustralia.com.au/tear-aid-type-a-fabric-repair-patch-kit-canvas-rubber-neoprene-nylon-gortex.html) with good results.

Thanks John.

Best canvas repair product I've ever used. Used it on a canvas section in my Jayco Eagle, that when it is up that section wraps around a pole and it under tension the whole time. It's actually brilliant, got mine from ebay for about $16 for that box, not much tape in there though and you need a bit more isopropyl alcohol then they give you in the kit, also i stuck it on both sides of the canvas.
Cheers for the heads up.

A member on here sells the Tear Aid. I have had good success with it. Is it the canvas or the vinyl bag which is torn? Two different Tear Aid products. One for canvas, one for vinyl.

Hi KB,
The Vinyl bag is good, It's the awning itself, which is type A.
All good.

I got hold of the Tear Aid Type A.
Worked a treat.
Sheeesh, it's tacky crap.
It was sticking to the scissorsas I cut it.
Thanks for the replies Swaggers.

Another vote for tear aid. I used it last week to repair 2 small rips in a patio roller blind. You don't get much tape for your $15 but it was enough to do the job with a couple of the small squares left over. I can grab either side of the rip and pull like hell without it coming apart. good product
