Hi all
After many years of tenting it, I have convinced the Minister of Finance that we should upgrade to a Camper trailer. It is currently the two of us, our 3yo son and George the dog, with potentially another one on the way - kid that it is :D
We still haven't quite decided which way we are going to go, but we aren't looking to spend a fortune (10-15K tops) - the tug is a 2010 X Trail, so it's not like we need outstanding off road capabilities.
Just to make things difficult, we are leaning more towards a hard floor as well, mainly for speed and cleanliness of pack up - either a second hand Cub or one of the imports.
We were leaning towards a Lumberjack Currawong, but aside from one bad review on here and a couple of good ones in Camper trailer Australia, I can't find out much about their trailers quality wise. I'm not expecting top of the line quality in that price range but I don't want the thing falling apart on me either....
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

G'Day and welcome Three......Good luck with your choice........It won't be easy.... ;D ;D ;D ;D.....Just sort out what you requirements and where you wish to go.....and what your tug is able to tow......Safe and happy camping.

Hi 3point and welcome to mysway
10-15 g will buy you a pretty good camper
i started off owning 2x hard floor and they are pretty good never thought i would have a soft floor.
but i sold the two i had and now have a soft floor
both have there pros and cons
-hard floors and uneven ground is a PITA
-sort floor a bit extra set up time
both options you normally need to then fit the awning after setup
i have also had a wind up camper and my revisit them again down the track
but at the moment i do like my soft floor
weight was the deciding factor and the reason i bought a soft floor

Welcome to MySwag 3point . Enjoy your search but remember to ask if you want to know something
thank you all - very excited :)
My advice - go hire a couple of trailers for a weekend... see what works for you, what doesn't and what you like/don't like... then plan.
Welcome to the Forum, good luck on the camper hunt. Ask away if you need any advice
