It was $100- off so I got it for $399-. Bought it in April when they had a special for the month. They have specials a couple of times/year. You may find they'll have one in Spring.
just went to one of the local stihl dealers in town and they still have the april special on!
looks like the re-109 for $299 will be the order of the day...
Have had the 88 for a number of years. Great littleunit with heaps of power. Just wish the hose was 3m longer

You should be able to get an extension for it GG.
I had the same issue with my Gerni, but an extension hose sorted it.
finally got to use my re-109 washer yesterday (it was a father's day gift).
what a ball-tearer...
very happy with this unit (so far). plenty of power and the accessories are excellent.

As it's spring time and ya saying its a ball tearer... Hows about a demo of the unit in action... on my deck. :D
Hey mate, I have one. I couldn't tell you what model without having a look in the shed, however it has been faultless and is now approximately 10 years old. We have gone through 2 Karchers and another type at work that would have had less use than mine Stihl.
They are as good as any on the market in my opinion.
Watch out for the work cycle . This can kill a unit faster than you think . My 5HP petrol Karcher has a cycle of 45 Min on 15 to cool . 3500PSI on the Dirt Blaster head will do most things that l need
had a katrcher for around 10 years, wash the house with it every year and the boat every time I dunk it.
Its been great and seems to be reliable, to me at least
I bought the 109 the other day on special for 299 and came with the deck cleaner

Ive already used it. Was good on medium moss/ grime but needed wobbler fitting on the real hard stuff but was very bad build up admitedly. Contains splashing whilst cleaning very well, not sure id pay 118 though
Sale started 1/9, check when bought or appeal to their better nature, i actually bought mine 1 week before the official start and still gave to me?
Love my petrol powered pressure wahser. Heaps of power with a nice long hose.
However it can be a pain to move around and a bit noisy for washing the car type stuff.
I'm very tempted to get one of the small Stihl's. They look the goods.
And no that wasn't a typo with wahser.
Mine really is a pressure wahser....
