Today was delivery day. Only a 3 week wait, but glad it has arrived.
I will be towing it with a small car, but the trip home went very well. Got to try high speed on the motorway and also some decent hills. I am sure we'll have no problems.

Thanks... quick reply!!
We did a dry run in the driveway, and managed to put up the main part of the tent without the need for the instructions. Must have been listening during the delivery handover 8)
Yeah that's always a trap....too focused on the shiny stuff and not listening. What brand is it? Have you a trip plann ed?

It's from Emu Campers http://www.emucampers.com.au/ (http://www.emucampers.com.au/)
We are building up to a long trip next year. So, some local shakedown trips first, maybe local dams and national parks. But when we are "experienced" we want to see inland Australia and Darwin, and the top of WA. Nothing to adventurous though, as we don't have a 4WD. Just general touristy stuff accessible from decent roads.

LOL This is where it starts - You'll have a 200 series with a 2" lift, massive muddies and all the toys within a few years.....

Yep. We are planning a break-in trip for next week. Just overnight, maybe 2 nights. We want to practice putting it up and try out the bits and pieces we have purchased, such as the fridge, tables, chairs etc. Also, I plan to experiment with the LED lighting to find out where/how I am going to locate them in the tent. We booked a powered site, but I intend to run as much on 12V as possible, again to test things out.
Great to see, enjoy the new CT.
