I'm a massive Torana fan I have owned 2 of them and our family raced them in Speedway as I was growing up. I remember when they released the "pink" concept car quite a few years ago and they were talking about it having a V6 and I was devastated at the thought It looked like crap.. This one looks much better although you will never beat the real thing. One of my biggest regret is selling my 1975 LH, Worked 308, Toploader and 9inch, Beautiful car...
i'm a A9X fan but that Concept car is very impressive, i'd love to take that and put in the Driveway
I thought the holden 5L was dead?
If they were making a VE SLR, wouldn't it be more like SLR 6000? or SLR 6200?
Cheers
Evo
Who remembers the Red SLR8000 from the early 90's in Street machine/Summernats. That was a nice car

I certainly do "Litre 8" it was called owned by Howard Bell, he has a whole website dedicated to the car..
I'm sorry - but that just looks like a commodore with some plastic and stickers.
It's very hard to re-create such an original icon like the SLR5000. Same with the Escort RS2000.

X2. 50K plus for an SS Commodore and 20-30K plus for one off custom paint, wheels and body kit. Or 60-80K for the genuine SLR5000. I know which one I'd go for.

One of my mates has a very nice hotted up Torana, (but not a SLR) and I was gobsmacked at the price these are going for. He was saying even the basic 4 cylinder models are selling for a premium just because of its parts valve. Hindsight is a wonderful thing as if I knew the potential of my old Torana, I wouldn't have sold it $2K 20 years.

Yeah but your not from Kalgoorlie they would buy the commodore with the SLR5000 kit on it then put a chevy badge on the front ;D
