Is anyone going this Sunday? 36C unfortunately but at least not blasting a gale or heavy rain like some years. Because the sites are cheap there are a few interesting smaller vendors. They've dropped the price a bit to $15.
Don't need anything but might just go for a drive in the country :)
Back home. Surprisingly good. Got there before 9 in heavy fog which burned off quickly. Prices seemed reasonable, most stands had enthusiastic staff and were well patronised. Left by 1 as it was getting quite warm with a new straw hat, a wind guard for the double burner stove and a few freebies.
I'd lost interested in the show a couple of years back as the price went up and the exhibitors went downhill. The Land Rover club looks to have responded to feedback and has restored the event to something worth attending every couple of years.
Went out to the show today agree it was better than previous years ARB was even offering 10% off a enjoyable time was had

I think its an event that should be every 2 yrs, not every year.. I know its a big money earner for the club, but flogging the same stuff year in year out that you can see in stores Mon - Sat is little bit pointless
Good on the club for listening and working towards making it better :)
that time of yr again
anyon going???

Yep. Tomorrow. Never been. Don't need anything (that's not going to stop me though). Will be a nice day for a drive.

advice - don't take your 4wd unless security is better this year
Thanks bird for the tip. Getting picked up by a mate in a ranger. So can't see anyone wanting to steal anything off that.....
BTW great work in the KFC advertisement.

;D ;D
My son and I went to get some bits for his GU. We were done in an hour and a half. Last years was one of the best. This years was pretty ordinary. Seemed to be fewer stands and less innovative stuff. $30 entry price for the two of us plus the 120km round trip wasn't worth it. Only thing he bought was a headlight loom from Brightlights which saved $15 in postage.

It only runs for a day.
The low cost for exhibitors compared with other shows is what used to get the smaller vendors to be there. Maybe many have disappeared over the years. We got there at 9:30 and left at 11. There were a few others leaving and I overheard some conversations about not seeing what they'd hoped to buy. Still plenty of people there so good for the Landrover club's coffers.
I heard a rumour that the WANDIN show is very likely to be held at Larders Park next year...
Apparently there is new owners of the Wandin show ground, and the fees have gone up dramatically.
I only managed to buy a hat cos I forgot mine at home and it was hot. Nothing else grabbed my imagination which was a little disappointing.

Actually there was something that caught my eye. There was a drop down fridge slide there. Think it was by ironman. They were displaying the prototype. Great bit of kit. Simple mechanism. Allows the fridge to slide down at a 30 degree angle the length of the slide. Tilt controlled by one short strut. From memory the suggested price using your own slide was about 280.

No, you're not doing it right. When you get a response you didn't expect you're supposed to abuse the responder.....

Im new at this.
I now know why I haven't been in years...
"Australia's largest outdoor 4WD event " then 4wd events are in strife.
