got 12 of their dvd's years ago from a $5 stall.... classic prehistoric touring that shows you don't need a good car to go remote.

I remember their Landrovers no their very first doco going west to east of the continent
I remember never seeing Landrovers in any of their docos again!
Boy aren't we spoilt today with our camping gear and vehicles. ;D
Their trip to the Cape is now copyright to channel 7.
Mark
Thanks for putting this one up, anyone know where to find copies of their early trips, I have the west East crossing and Around Australia by boat + Ask the Leylands series ... Looking for their Cape trip / Wolf creek crater and another that they used a Dodge weapons carrier 4x4 to go into the desert, plus any other TV documentry they did .
Hardly the beginning. Remember watching their old docos in black and white. Plus there was others doing it before them as well.
Remember watching last year an old clip of a bloke, his partner and her friend and their little dog driving from Perth to the Cape in the old family sedan towing a trailer with the boat on top. There wasn't much bitumen back in the those days, had to be late 50's early 60's I think. Was a great show

I must be old. I can remember them before their TV series. They used to tour showing their films at schools and Town Halls.
Funny when he starts talking about food and cooking and then hands over to the missus cause that's her domain!
I must have been too young then, I only just noticed the wet tee shirts and one of the chicks is a bit of a babe!
