Was down in the shed today and noticed a couple of ants on a towel I had drying over the stone guard. Had a quick check around the exterior and guess what?
I had left the extension cord for the C-Tek touching the floor in the shed and it was covered in ants and eggs :-[ >:(
Got out the fly spray and went around the outside of the camper, all good :D
Better just rip off the cover and check the canvas, hoping it would be okay and freakin hell they were everywhere the little bas tards >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
So out came the camper and up she went and I have just spent the last 2 hours trying to wash the pricks away and they were in every nook and cranny possible.
Have found a few inside where the walkway was so I have had to do some light spraying. Actually emptied half a can into the air in the hope it will spread out and kill them all.
Why you little bas tards, why ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
Good Advice Jason might open mine up before Xmas too, nothing worse little pricks

Same thing happened to me, did the same as you, but then sprayed all the outside metal surfaces with a surface spray, and also got some of those little flat ant bait stations and left them inside the camper and dusted ant/wasp powder all over the wheels and jockey stand. That seemed to fix the little b*stards >:( >:(
A couple of years ago we spend a week at the beach camping and I had noticed one or two ants around the bed area but didn't think that much of it. When packing up I was taking the sheets off the bed and noticed some eggs near the bed. I lift the bed and find a huge ants nest, so they must have made that without us knowing while we were away.
Needless to say I went through a whole tin of spray and some more when we got home.

Same. After finding a nest in the canvas, I now give all the outside of the trailer a spray with that Mortein Professional Surface Spray every six months. Seems to work.

Put a baking tray or pizza tray outside the camper with some honey in it to lure the ba$tards out that way you don't have to clean the dead ones up.
I usually suck the majority up with a vacuum (got a bagless version and then tip them out somewhere like into the garden where all our skinks are and watch them go mental on the little blighters
Spraying around the tyres with Bifenthrin works a treat :D
