In an effort to reduce road rage. The RTA and NSW department of transport today have announced the banning of my family stickers. Spokesmen for the RTA Mr Jack Mehoff said " My family stickers have been shown to increase driver frustration and increase the chances of road rage incidents by 34%. The study revealed People with my family stickers feel they have a greater right to the road and this leads to the higher rates of aggression and incidents " From today NSW police will be issuing $324 fine and 6 demerit points for displaying my family stickers, they will also be removing these offensive and dangerous stickers from vehicles they catch.
it's gotta be april fools day
What about pre-family stickers? Are they still allowed?

well thought up April Fools... good work
Why is it I don't think an edict like this has to be an April Fools joke?
Yes yes. It was my big joke. No one else seemed to be doing anything!!
If only it wasn't a joke. My family stickers. Almost as bad as bunnings generators :))
Heres another one spotted in Western Sydney!
It's a shame that it's not for real................................................................................
I tried to get a photo of one of these in Woy Woy on the week end.
It was a picture of the dad & kids with arrow pointing into a gap saying position vacant
kind of like this one (http://www.dumpaday.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/stick-figure-family-stickers-11.jpg)

Bill
My kids wanted me to put stickers on the back window. I didn't see any problem so put them on the car. Wow, what is wrong with the world ??? I can't believe how much aggro a passive sticker can cause. People really need to get a life! Seriously. It's sticker fer gawd's sake. I admit most of the aggro seems to come from those offering free sponsorship to alcohol companies and having no problem with their own oversized, foul-language stickers.
I now intend keeping the my-family stickers just to elicit a reaction...........
I agree...I do have more right to drive on the road due to having a large family....especially today.. >:D >:D >:D >:D

I still hope they make this law

Ol Mr Jack Mehoff was pretty busy making announcements today, covering a very wide range of issues, across a lot of departments....

Stickers don't bother me that much, don't care either way, but why is it the cars with baby on board, seem to be the ones that drive really bad, in general. Is it a, hey I have a baby, so get the f@@@ out of my way! ??? It's like school pick up or drop off, where parents think cause they have kids they are allowed to double park, or park in no parking or an a yellow line, because they are dropping or picking up kids. That annoys me more then stickers

Originally they meant for emergency responders, so they would look for the baby. Same rationale behind twins on board, so they look for two babies.

They originated in the US in the era before baby capsules. IIRC a baby was missed under a seat in a crashed vehicle.
Not really required these days. Presence of capsule / child seat is self-evident, and harnesses should restrain kids in the devices.
So should I remove my "myswag.org " stickers ??? :'( :'(
