Hi all with our impending Xmas trip to fraser I have a small issue to solve. With my wife recently having major surgery with cancer and another small op in a couple of weeks I need to find a step so she can get into and out of the goldstream easy and with safety. My problem is we currently use one of those fiamma steps which is only 230mm or so high what I need is a double step around twice that high. Measurements from the floor to the door well on the van is 640 mm so a step around 200 ish and another at 400 ish would be great. My only problem is I can't find anything and our only caravan dealer in town closed down a couple of months ago. If you can help with any ideas they would be greatly appreciated in saying that I did find one online although when coming down the bottom step only pretruded out 100 from the top step so not really ideal for our situation as I need to be certain that her footing is stable at all times thanks Paul
Hi Paul, is there room inside the door for something like this that would fold up inside the camper.

The father inlaw made a step that folded down from inside for his transit van out of 6mm ally and hinged at the top worked a treat, maybe a local steel fabricator could knock something up, sorry no pics he lives 5hrs away
Cheers Matt

looks like the go I had thought about something like this i even spoke to my local camper trailer builder who I have had another trailer from and due to the nature of where it will hinge from and how it will sit with the door closed and open when set up his thought was it would be a pain. His suggestion was a stand alone step system

looks ok folding would better but if the height was right could be a goer looked for dimensions but couldn't see anything will call them through the week. Keep the ideas flowing thanks guys
Another option might be from Bunnings. They have a range of small folding ladders/steps, just do a search on there for ladder, might find something
cheers Keith

now where taking that's exactly what we want the shipping from the uk looks to be a killer going on the EU prices if I could only find the same thing here I'd be a happy man. Thanks will email them in the morning no harm in asking I guess
Local metal fabricator is all you need, have picture and measurements, probably cost less than what they want for it in pommy land to build .
Is there anything on here that would suit you?
