STOLEN CARAVAN FOUND ONE YEAR LATER!
Friday, 26 October 2012 6:38am
Police have found a $70,000 caravan nearly a year after it was stolen.
The dual axle 2009 Paramount Tribute caravan was reported stolen from the yard of a business on Dorset Street, Lonsdale on the weekend of 29 and 30 October 2011.
Despite extensive inquiries by South Coast police, the trail had gone cold, until Western Adelaide Police had reason to call into a Woodville Gardens address on Wednesday afternoon and found the stolen caravan in the rear yard.
A 52-year-old man from Woodville Gardens was reported for unlawful possession of the caravan and will be summonsed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
The owner of the caravan has been notified that the caravan has been recovered undamaged and is delighted.
'shakey'
Well done.
What will happen with it now?
The insurance will have paid out and the owners bought another caravan I assume.

if it was insured, the insurance company owns it, and they will auction it.
if it was never insured, the owner gets it back.
Come on now. No cop does good work. They are all out there revenue raising :D

Hi,
maybe, but I bet it didn't have a big sign on it saying
stolen! Some one used their investigative powers to establish that fact.
Whether it was routine procedure or acting on a hunch doesn't matter much, the job was done and a good result ensured.
Top marks to the police concerned.
cheers

Good police work could refer to any job they do. The police do a great job, and I will never be told different. (You can put the cheque in the mail Wayne)

More like a p!ssed off friend dobbed them in...
I'm guessing if the caravan was insured, it is now owned by the insurance company.

Don't worry Lost, I got it..... And lets face it, they get paid to be cops. As far as I can see they were just doing what they were paid to do.

Was a joke. Think about most of my posts relating to cops and it would be a bit clearer. :)

The original joke was from a copper, or was a copper and my reference was about another member here who is a member there. Sorry if I offended (officer)
