Feels like only last month that I spent 3 days walking around the show researching CT's and everything else. Now it is here again already.
At this rate, the 382 days before I leave for our trip around Australia will go like Sh17 off a shovel.
See you all at the show grounds. :p

I can't wait, hubby can't come with me so I'm gonna try take my dad, the thought of going y myself with two toddlers does not amuse me. I've never been before, which is the best day to go? As far as crowds are concerned etc, I don't want to be getting shoved along with the crowd :)
I see they are warning people already that the car park this year is going to be even smaller .
So unless you are in the first 50 there , I'm guessing you have to take their advice and get the train .... Can't wait to buy a fridge and carry it to the train ..... ??? & >:(
I hope they realise they need to open up the sideshow alley and Vic Park car parks .
They need a roving parts carrier like at the swap meets ....
Oh great! Sounds appealing...not
Yee haa - Can't wait!
It's a family tradition for us! Dad has been an exhibitor for 30+ years so I reckon I've been going for a least the last 20 years.
I can tell u now hutchies have more then half side show alley torn up and under construction so don't be expecting to much Parking in there.I'm not wasting my money this year as with all the redevelopment going on in there it will be a sh$/ fight, good luck to those going you'll need patients
Our new purchase will be there at the Jayco stand....would be nice to see what it looks like but being a long weekend the sound of nature a caravan park is calling
Why do these things have to be on a long weekend and one where we've already booked our camping in the wilderness? Oh well, they miss me and my valuable money again! When will they learn?

The little lady and I went last year when only part of the grounds were closed off but now that most of one half is gone ??? ???
Parking was a headache last year big time, the caravan/CT industry really needs to think about moving the show to a bigger better area/place, maybe the Ipswich showgrounds or another place that has trains nearby.
Take your own food and drink unless you own a mining company, and good shoes and a little patience. Good Luck
Cheers

My advice is to leave the kids at home with mum. Take Dad to carry the stuff you'll now have time to buy. 8)
As for which day, go for a work day if you can.
Worked at the RNA today and there will be no parking on the main arena it's full of massive tents and tarps and the vans are moving in already
Are the specials that good that ou buy or just research???
We'll be heading in on Friday morning, for hopefully some bargains!
Do your research on what you want to buy beforehand... some prices aren't discounted at all.. found this the last couple of years we have been, when you add up the entry, parking and travel costs it isn't worth it to buy camping gear..but did buy our swan last year.....
I've never found them cheaper, I find I get better prices by doing research, then showing these prices to the owner of my local camping store
Keep it local, and if he does not want to match it no worries, I buy it online.
We were looking forward to the show, but after the debacle with parking and smaller display areas, crowds etc at the outdoor show in March, we will be giving it a miss. And yes, they really need to think about a different venue. Kevin
Just wondering, because of the parking issues where would be a close by train station to do the last leg of the journey in on ? We will be travelling up from south of the border.

Jarrod

Hm, maybe we should wait till next year hopefully they will have it all sorted out by then. Do they have a show in march every year?
I don't really need to buy anything I just wanted to go for a look.

Twice a year. One is camping & caravan and the other is 4wd & camping.

They are running free train travel directly to the exhibition grounds (need to have pre purchased an entry ticket on line I think - need to check)
From the show website:
"Travel by public transport to connect with the free trains which will leave from Roma Street, Central and Fortitude Valley Stations direct to the Showgrounds station every 20-30 minutes. The first train will leave shortly after 9am and the last train will return from the showgrounds shortly after 6pm."

Thanks for that. I might also see how difficult / easy it might be to catch the train from Robina.
