I want to go away in the last week of July school holiday, but my wife doesn't want to be too cold.
Plan is to take leave from 13/07 till 22/07 so only 10 days.
Was thinking of Mullewa but that is still cold, so maybe Karijini.
But as it is school holidays it might be too busy.
Then going east?
All suggestions are welcome.
MOA
Been there twice, so somewhere else this time.
It's cold everywhere unless you north of the 26th. East is certainly freezing in winter. We are thinking we will brave it and head east to checkout the area between Lake King, Norseman and Coolgardie.
You could always spend your fuel money on a webasto and go somewhere closer, then you get a camper upgrade and a holiday ;D

Shark Bay might be ok

As well as being at MOA, i'm also going to be in the Kennedy Ranges over the hols. obviously wife-less, as there's nowhere to plug in a hairdrier
I am sure you can buy a 12V hair dryer.
Found it for you, only $19.95

Mmmm, Karijini looks good as well.
Karijini will still be cold but low probability of rain. This time of year the easterlies blow like buggery, you'll get an ice cold breeze straight off the desert except for when Perth is experiencing a storm - then it's beautiful. Anything North of the 26 needs to be close to the coast to avoid the really cold nights.
Have a look here http://www.eldersweather.com.au/wa/pilbara/newman (http://www.eldersweather.com.au/wa/pilbara/newman) for this week's weather.
Me - I'm going to Cape Leveque but thats only down the road ;D

I'll be there too, our yearly pilgrimage, with more mods done to the patrol this year and hiring a CT from FollowMe for a try before we buy ;D
Cheers

Plans have changed :-(
My wife don't want to go camping this time.
She wants to go to a hotel, sits at the pool with a cocktail........ but not to Bali.
We have a pool in our backyard and a bottle of rum. :-)
No, that isn't want she wanted.
How is Darwin?
Any suggestions for a couple of days?

Good spot there!
We spent a full month travelling the bottom of WA in July. It's not to bad! But we camp all year in Vic so the cold isn't a problem!
Karijini in the school hols will be packed.
Darwin is good in July
Kalbarri, if its packed Murchison Station has apparently set up a campground!
