Hi Swaggers!!!
So I have been on here for a couple of weeks now and I have learnt more than I ever thought I would... So I thought I should introduce myself!!
About 3 months ago I bought a 2004 100 series V8 Landcruiser Kakadu (beats the old commodore I had ;D) which inspired me to do more off road camping trips.. We used to go camping with tents a lot when we were living in Gladstone and now that my family and I have only moved to Townsville recently we are still figuring out where the good spots are!!
With a mad rush of blood to the head I said to the misses last month lets go to cape york mid year... which she agreed too!! :cup:
I decided to ditch the tents (due to the fact that my partner and I have 5 kids living with us) and I purchased a second hand custom made off road camper trailer with addittional rooms that can be attached.
As a pre run we are going to Port Douglas at easter to try out the camper and see what extra (or less) gear we need for the cape!!
I am keen to meet other people from around Townsville who like their camping and if they want to catch up for a beer (or coffee) some time to plan any upcoming camping trips that would be great!!
I will get some pics uploaded of the camper and cruiser this weekend ;D
Richard

G'day & Welcome! And good on you, 5 kids and away you go.
I always wanted a Kakadu, thought it was the best model variant offered - all the fruit you want, without the stuff you don't, like SatNav.
G'day Richard,

G'day Victim,
Welcome and enjoy!!...... Make sure you do a trip out to Charters Towers. Some reports on here also about Bivouac Junction on the Burdekin, could be worth a look........ maybe head up the Lynd Highway and spend a night or two at Fletcher Creek........ Balgal Beach north of Townsville might be worth a look too, we once camped for a few nights at the council park right at the river mouth, good boat ramp, river fishing and a kiosk......
Hi Richard and welcome to My Swag

Haha.... I better be careful how I answer that!!!
It stems down from my old man who always said he was a victim of various things.... Then after my divorce I too became a victim >:D although I am not a victim right now, well not of women anyway, I have found a good one!!! ;D... anytime anything goes wrong I say to my partner I am a Victim, she says of what... I say life in general!!.... When I was joining myswag I said to her what user name do you think I should use.... She said well you might as well use Victim because that what you tell me you are!!! So I did!!
Victim!!
