As mentioned we will be having a cocktail night on the second night at the Seisa caravan park in one of the huts we will be occupying. There will be streamers and flashing lights and it will be a Hawian theme so dress up with Hawian shirts and grass skirts !!!
We will have blenders, ice etc. So start deciding what your favorite cocktail is and bring your ingredients. There is a supermarket at Seisa but may be limited to what you need.
I will be doing my deadly pina colada cocktail so be prepared.
Mark

48 bottle case x5 .... I get thirsty on theses trips.
Mark
And on the last trip he had to consult with Mr. XXXX at every crossing just to be sure he was guiding us all in the right direction and not leading us the astray... ;D ;D
Not that we can be there but............................
Mojito's! Mohito's! Yum!
Pronouced MOW-HEE-TOW
A refreshing sparkling drink originally from Cuba, great for mid day, after work, clubbing, afterhours, or whenever that drinking mood strikes.... AND fun to make, impressive to serve to your friends and guests.
For EACH drink place into a cocktail shaker:
•1 sprig of fresh mint leaves from your garden or local market, removed from their stems (don't use dried, but frozen fresh is okay)
•1/2 a fresh lime squeezed
•1 tablespoon or more of table sugar or bar sugar (start with one and increase to taste as needed later, don't skip the sugar, it's important to the taste)
Crush these three ingredients in the bottom of the shaker using a wooden muddler (see picture) to release the mint essence from the leaves into the sugar and lime juice
•pour 1 or 2 shots (per drink) of white rum (or citrus rum!) over ice
Cover shaker and shake vigorously and dramatically in front of your guests
•pour into tall Tom Collins glass filled with ice cubes, or better yet one of several Mojito glasses or sets available from AlwaysHappyHour.com
•Do not strain the mixture from the shaker, allow the crushed mint leaves to go into the serving glass as well, that's part of the look and taste!
•Fill the glass with sparking water, seltzer, or club soda and stir with a long spoon or cocktail mixing stick
•Garnish with a fresh mint leave floating on top and serve with a tall drinking straw
I am now at the stage of organizing the cocktail night!!
There will be ice at Seisa but I would suggest bring large plastic cups as they are Easy to travel and pack for the cocktails.
I will have vodka for the vodka sunrises ( yes I know not a cocktail but nice) and the granadine.
I will also be making piña coladas and will be bringing my blender.
I would need at least another 2 blenders so if any one else can fit one in that would be great.
My other list includes:
Streamers
Flashing lights
And the brightest most colorful Hawaiian shirt.
So bring your spirits, mixers and shirts as it will be a great night watching the sunset over the water.
I may even bring a beach boys cd!!!
Mark
Gee McGirr it is a pitty that Yogi isn't going on the Cape trip this year as with his new light setup all your flashing lights requirements for 'Cocktaila at the Cape' would have been sorted. Even Johnny Trackabout has seen a sneak preview whilst we were on Fraser after Christmas.
Amanda
Maybe we should have some sort of prize for the best dressed, lady, gent and overall. As well as for the best cocktail.
I've got a few sets of flashing lights (outdoor christmas varity) I can bring if needed.
Bert
I'll try and find my mirror ball and that ABBA cd you loaned me last year Mark ;D  I think I packed them away with my flairs :D

Back on track...all I can say is that one hut will be transformed into a night club for the cocktails !!
Mark
The lagerita cocktail is a fine concoction and was recently thrust in to the spotlight thanks to Nigella Lawson serving them up on her show, embarrassingly simple recipe:
Get a bottle of beer (take a swig to make room for the good bits).
Add one shot of tequila, one shot of orange liqueur [i.e. Cointreau], one shot of lime cordial and add fresh lime to serve.
now a campsite favourite and sure you wil all enjoy, just make sure your sitting down by the third!. :cup:
Hey Tim ..... i don't remember drinking much at all ......... everytime I looked in the fridge we were low on beer :'( Those 80L Engels sure don't hold mush beer .......... well not enough for a day up the Cape anyway ;D
yogi
Anyone got a good cocktail recipe that they are will to share. I've always drank beer or spirits. Sometimes mixed together, but I can't remember what they tasted like mixed.
Does honey Jim Beam count?
PM if you have one.

The B52 are great also black Russian.
Remember you have to carry this alcohol all the way so maybe try one or too and stick with that.
We are putting the vodka and Malibu in plastic coke bottles for easy travel.
Mark
I've already got a few bottles of Jim Beam put a way. I'll do what you've said with the vodka.
