I have registered the Cub In Qld. and surrendered the NSW plates. There is about 7 months 'unused' NSW rego. As I am a well known tightar$e and a hater of institutional thievery, I was wondering what the chances of a refund are, AND if it is worth the hassle? The relevant link to the NSW RTA Documents is; Any account of experiences with the process would be appreciated.

				Submit the paperwork..
They work on a %age on refund... how much was the rego - $40-50.? You'd get just over 20 back.

Cub Trailer rego in NSW appears to be quite a bit more than you would expect! I am not sure but a figure of $280 appears on one document.

Then go for it... it would be worth it.

Did this myself when I moved to Darwin.
HAd to transfer rego on three cars and two trailers, all with a t least 4through to 11 months rego.
Was a pain doing it all but well worth it. They take their time to usually around a month after the paper work was sent to them with all the evidenc3 and proofs was when I recieved a cheque in the mail.
Don't forget to clam for yor compulsory third party if you have it through your chosen insurer.
Cheers, Chris
