Hi guys, I have just got hold of a 1986 Toyota Corolla for my daughter to drive.  Can it use unleaded fuel?

Not to sure but i think you have to buy some sort of additive

I have an fb Holden Ute (1960) and use unleaded with Flashlube 10ml/l .Motor is standard actually it only has 53000mls on it.

as others have said, use a additive specifically for this purpose. I think it is also call an upper cylinder lubricant.
I use it in my 1982 V8 Commodore but I also use premium 98.

The little Toyota should be fine on unleaded, alloy head 4Cly will have the hardened valve seat's.

You can only use standard from golden fleece or Amoco fine filter clean

Great I was a little worried that those companies had gone.....might put a tiger in my tank....lol

				Don't use E10 though

1986 was the 1st year of vehicles being built to run on unleaded fuel. As stated prior, just don't use E10.

As said above, February 1986 was the date when it was deemed illegal to sell a motor vehicle with a motor that ran on leaded fuel, so it should be fine.

If you blokes stuff a tiger in your tank , you will be reported to the RSPCA !! Thats just so crule  >:D
