$3.39L for deiesel in one place and $3.22L at another in Katherine this morning.

In Yarralin it was $3.30L last year. Two weeks back it was $2.80L, we had a fuel delivery just last Friday (yep easter friday) and it's now skyrocketed to...

$2.90L

We have capacity for 270L in the Troopy so I told the wife to only top up the smaller 90L tank in Katherine on the way home and to fill the big tank here.

Just looked over something today I think was in the US there is a lot of lease EVs about to Finish there 3 yrs. Headline paragraph said could send a few companies to the wall as they are not going to get anywhere near what they budgeted for on the 2nd hand market. recon the dealers won't want, or at least many of them & the rest will go to auction.

Quote from: Bigpickle on December 18, 2025, 09:55:11 PMI have in the past 24 hours, just picked up a (new to me) 2013 top of the range turbo'd Hyundai Veloster.
Been a dream for a couple of years now and I got one at a low kilometre count.
Been battling terminal cancer and do not have long to live but I'm gonna bloody enjoy the time I have left.
Hows the car and more important - how are you doing?

Well the obvious answer is to raelly jack up the price when they reach 80% charge-

assuming the charger can tell that which mightn't be the case for cars that aren't Tesla

As for the climate changers I guess the windmills and solar panels are a slight improvement over the old volcanoes and virgins routine
