When in midwest USA in 1989, I entered a K-Mart store. The first counter you walked into displayed guns, lots of them. To top it off there was a bloke holding a double barrel shotgun dancing about in the entrance like he was shooting ducks or something. I nearly did the squid trick till I realised what he was doing. Very shortly when i retreated back out thru the carpark I saw an unlocked F150 ute or similar displaying in full view, 3 rifles with clips mounted on a rack in the cab back window. A tad nerve racking. Sorry, no photo!

Where I lived in Canada in the 70's EVERY ute had a gun rack across the back window. Fair enough because in those days you would come across moose , deer and elk anywhere, and everybody had their "tags" for legal hunting. Bear hunting got interesting at times .
