It's a hell of a shame but places like this are struggling all around the world
A mate of mine picked up an iconic pup years ago for less than the land value
He got in a 25% partner that runs it and lives there, he takes nothing out or it wouldn't survive
He's also been buying up land around it for nicks
a photo of the main street yesterday... or 1900... no difference LOL.. some amazing history in the area though...

its cheap around there - if the pub goes, so will the prices

I can vouch for the pressure things, it does work pretty good. The genny is pretty cheap. Brother bought a 2kva from Aldi about 12 yrs ago and it's still going strong.

Aldi StarLink bag -$19.95

Ok... ok... they call it the "overnight" bag.

But it's a 100% perfect fit!

We just fold the front flap of the box back over the top.

Still enough space in the top for a powerboard and an extension lead!

sparksy

Looking at making a small 12v powerboard for the van, mainly for USB chargers and LED lights.

Repco have these Thunder 12/24v 20A power sockets going out on clearance for $4 ea.

The ones I started looking at repco are exactly same looking, almost  same part number  and same description but they are $18 ea and branded as Drivetech.

So I ordered 5 of the Thunder for $20 on click and collect last night and picked up this morning. Look exactly like the Narva ones I've used before except they have led lights inside.

so um... this happened.

Been hunting for a replacement for our 60L ARB classic fridge that was written off by the NRMA during the garage flood last year.
(the same NRMA that then refused the claim and forced me to go through AFCA and settle for a third of the value of the stuff that the NRMA took to the tip... but that's a much longer story)

Mainly looking at 2nd hand dual zones on Marketplace. Had a scam attempt made on me on Friday.

This morning, on a whim... I searched on Google for EvaKool fridges new as I know they just updated the "Down Under" model to the Down Under II. (so was hoping that the older model might be on sale)

I spotted the Ridge Rider dual zones at Supercheap and I knew that they are made by EvaKool... so I clicked the link.

so ummmm... $1.00 for the 73L model huh... hmmmmmmmm

The pictures tell the story. Ordered and paid online. For Pickup at the Minchinbury store... Drove down to Minchinbury and grabbed (their last) one in a box. Then also grabbed the last (ex-display one) one from Penrith for a mate. (it was running when I called in) Ordered and paid online. For Pickup.

they still show at $1.00 on the website, but when you add it to the cart it switches back to $599

Another mate grabbed one that was in Grafton.

Well, you definitely won't burn yourself on it! :-\

Having said that, it should be adequate to take the chill off the inside of the van.

Will get to try it out properly in a few weeks when we head to Carnarvon Gorge ;D

Mentioned on another forum:

https://www.knog.com/collections/headlamps, including https://www.knog.com/collections/headlamps/products/bandicoot-100-headlamp at only $9.99! ;D

At that price it's worth grabbing a couple to keep as spares!

Yep, ordered a couple myself ;D

Tentworld also have these listed https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/knog-quokka-headlamp at $4 instead of $50!!! (Thanks, Jon! :cup:)

Went in to our local but all gone :'( Bloke checked their system & said that it shows 1 in Cairns, but a "few" in both Canberra & Melbourne, so if you're quick, you may be able to get one ???

For those of you using full synthetic oil, autobarn has gone bonkers and will sell you 10 litres for $60.
Unfortunately my local branch had sold out, however I did get supercheap to price match

Yep, we got 4 ourselves.

A couple took quite a while to start charging the first time we plugged them in but eventually charged up OK, so 2 will now go away in the van, & the other 2 in the cupboard for Justin! ;D

Yep!

Usual price is listed as being ~$900 for the gear, with regular "half-price" deals at $450, so $199 is incredibly cheap :cup:

The old saying
"If it looks too good to be true, than it's probably not true"

They are $750 on the starlink site over here for the RV package and about $399 for the home package
If your not prepaired to stand behind our troops
Then feel free to stand in front of them

Yeah. If your classed as rural that deal is the go.  What they class as rural is pretty loose.  I know some in in the lower blue mountains that got that deal.  I don't call anywhere in the blue mountains rural anymore.
But it's not the rv version either.   But I believe what people are doing is getting the foxed version then you can add the portability option to it after.  Then they can pause the service.
For us, once again, we paid the full $1000 bucks then a month later they start running all the deals.  Do we regret it, nope.  It's been great.
