Australian country music legend – and wife to the late Slim Dusty – Joy McKean has died at the age of 93.

mate had an old val.  we could fit 1/2 the suburb in it.... lol..... those were the days

Mid 80's, we use to head to the Wollongbar Drive In, between Lismore & Alstonville, A mate had 56 Customline 4 door, ya could squeeze a ton of people in it. Another mate had 69 Fairlane and I had my XY Fairmont wagon, a couple of other cars and most of Byron would be there.
Great memories.

Hi,
   One of the radio apprentices at RAAF Laverton rigged up a device to listen to the audio going to all the speakers at the local drive in. The screen could be seen from the road in,  and as there was little traffic going in after the movie started he would park at the entrance and watch the movie from there, with sound.
