what is one of the funnest or priceless things you have seen during your camping travels or adventures?

Can't wait to hear people's stories.

Where do we start?
A mate had his porta potty tip over in the camper, traveled from Northern NSW to Sydney's west, nice Supprise when they opened it up.
The wife's boss, their camper suffered a failed bearing in Broken Hill.
The NRMA was told to plug the camper into 240V, they didn't.
Two weeks later after repairs it was delivered to the East coast, full of maggots.
 Hmmm,

BTW, Welcome to Myswag.

Hi,
After dark, camped in the Western Arthurs on a hike.
A horrified yell from one of the party down by the creek.

She used a tube of Dimp (mosquitoe repellent) instead of toothpaste.

Cheers

Some years ago we were camped on the banks of the upper Murray (Indi) River at Xmas. It was stinking hot. Forty plus every day so we swam a lot. One morning my wife was donning her one piece bathing costume but as she started pulling it up she instinctively looked down to see a spider that was marginally smaller than a saucer in the gusset. The togs were at about knee level when the sighting caused panic to set in. She still had her tee shirt on as she exited the tent screaming like a banshee. She was trying desperately to hold her tee shirt down while also holding her togs at half mast. We were camping with another family, their children and our own kids. My mate got to her first and managed to get the spider out of its predicament before releasing it in the scrub. We are not spider experts but when describing it to someone who was he thought it was either a funnel web or a trapdoor. Anyway several hours later around the campfire the jokes went on and on but to summarise we couldn't decide who got the bigger fright - my wife when she looked down or the spider when he looked up !!

Hi,
Small party overnight hiking on Bruny Is.
Camped by a small creek running onto the beach on a green grassy marsupial lawn in a valley of sedges and low ti tree scrub.
Girls having problems pitching a small hike tent.
Boys offer to pitch it, view to the sea on the lawn near a rocky step to the beach.
We had a small fire on the sand prior to going to bed.
Boys waited by the fire for a while while the girls settled in.
Seawards, just out of the firelight were probably 300 fairy penguins wanting to get back to their nests after a day's fishing, as they had done for millennia.
Dowsed the fire, covered the ashes and moved aside from the penguin road up the step to the valley.
(You can see where this is going, can't you)
One, then two, and once the flow started, they were off up the valley. No stopping them.
Did I mention the tent with ocean views?
Yep, funnelled the penguins perfectly, and created feminine chaos and confusion with penguins flying out of the tent in all directions.
We could offer no assistance while rolling on the grass in hysterical laughter.
Cheers
