Second hand prices will no doubt go up.

The latest figures show Toyota LandCruiser sales more than doubled in December 2020 compared to the same month the prior year (up 128 per cent) and deliveries were up by 9.2 per cent for the full year – in a market that was down by 13.7 per cent.

This sudden and unexpected surge in demand for the Toyota LandCruiser has exhausted the stock that was intended to last well into 2021.

The original plan was to create a smooth changeover to the new Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series, but it now seems likely there will be a blackout in showrooms – as well as in production.

Maybe in Vic Fizzie but most places there been selling like proverbial hot cakes since mid last year but really went nuts when word got out there’ll be no more , then suddenly there was some more lol and now they are over subscribed and dealers are handing deposits back before production stops.  I’ve seen people offering up there decked out Sahara’s few months old for $190k !!! People buying secondhand cruisers from dealers are having to pay extra LCT on the purchase because the cars selling a year old for more than it was sold new !it’s the 4wd version of the toilet paper shortage  :D
Here for a good time, not a long time!

I said it elsewhere on here but a boss at work has been offered by the selling dealer $10k more than what He paid for his not quite 12 month old VX. Another boss gets his Sahara in the next week or so. Currently in getting a GVM/GCM upgrade. The Sahara had been on order for over 5 months.
Did I see Toyota have just done a limited release model of the 200.

Not news I know, but just had this come through, thought I'd share it, & couldn't think where else to put it ???

https://survey.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3w5bhPVe0L9LYjP

Couple of questions there about signage that I didn't know ???

I know where you could have put it LOL....  Just wasted five minutes on the survey, and no result at the end of it. Well I hope the company or association, using Qualtrics for the survey, appreciated my answers.. LOL

Answered no to first question. Survey response is "Thank you for your interest in this survey.  Unfortunately you do meet the criteria for this research. " ?? That is copy & paste.

Why no follow up questions to see why not? Great survey.

OK revisited the survey & should have answered yes. I assumed they were referring overnight stops not not a short daytime stop.

Based on current Australia/China relations, this will end well...

Boris Johnson blames Chinese for coronavirus pandemic telling world leaders it was triggered by 'demented' people who 'grind up the scales of a pangolin' in a bid to become more 'potent'.

It was a Telegraph.com article.
Refreshed the page a couple of times to make sure it wasn't pay walled.
Post the link, bam, pay wall.

Anyway, the story was how people are fleeing QLD through Birdsville in 2wd vehicles, risking their lives because the signs state 4wd only.
