Our tailgate kitchen has the Lido Junior fitted and we have had no issues with it, in fact the exact opposite it works well, sadly only a two burner.
A two burner will suit me well. Thanks, just the feedback I was hoping for.

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

Could you just source any size jets and drill them out?
Keith

I tried that once. Lasted about 2 secs before I broke the drill in the jet. A 0.6 drill is a pretty delicate thing !!

The key is to be gentle with almost no pressure and with plenty of lubricant. Maybe use a hand drill if in doubt. I have done it many time when I used to have a BBQ business in a previous life.

The next question is finding a suitable replacement. My camper has a tailgate steel kitchen so am thinking I will replace the whole shebang with a purpose bult ply one (once I get my woodworking shed up and running) built around the replacement stove. Liking the Lido one at the moment though haven't done any real research into it.

Had a Lido in the campers for the past 10 years, works well in any temp. The wind can be a pain when really blowing but a quick sheild placement gets it going again. The toaster element works a treat

Hop onto ebay and find some cheap reamers, maybe called watchmakers reamers.

I'm a watchmaker and fixed my mates stove with the same problem, and a blocked stove jet at my parents. Shouldn't be as fragile as a drill.

If you get stuck, whip them out and mail them to me, it's easy as.

Great Escape camping used to have a heap of jets, not sure if they survived the move from Archerfield to Manly.
Probably worth a call?

Hi Corndog,

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Natural-Gas-To-LPG-Propane-U-LPG-Conversion-Jet-size-from-0-22-2-00mm/184429301440?hash=item2af0d7cec0:g:OZEAAOSwDX9b5BsS&frcectupt=true

These are what I purchased. $8.00 each
The ones I got were .85

There is a bigger flame, but not so much as to need wider pans etc, but gets hotter quicker
probably because more gas is flowing.

Hi Baz. I found that seller. Ask him if they fit a Dometic Cramer. He asked for a picture and socket size. Can't get into my camper at present to get them out. Have you got a Cramer hob?

Baz

This is the one I have.

Dometic Flush mount 3 burner hob with gasket, 12 V ignition

That's the same hob as mine. I'll let you know corndog after I fit mine , hopefully.

corndog

Same as mine as well. Couldn't wait to order them. ;D ;D ;D

Installed the jets today. Chose 0.75, 0.70, and 0.64. They were the correct size corndog. Tried taking photos but very poor results. The new jets sound like my Coleman hyper flame in comparison to the original jets.

rags

That won't work as the burners are upside down👍

plusnq

Pretty weird that. And when you click on the photo it's right way up. Probably covers from wherever in the world you are looking? 😂😂😂

Yes. Seems a much bigger flame. I'll cook something in the next couple of days but definitely much better than before.

As promised. Seared steak out in the open in two minutes with no issues. Would have been broiled over an hour previously . Very happy with the results of changing jet sizes for $26. Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Anyone have a clue if Dometic jets are like Thetford jets? I am suffering from upsidedown steak envy. I'll guess the pics were taken on an iphone? I get it sometimes too.

Android phone actually. No idea re jet size sorry.

You can remove the jets pretty easily, and measure the thread. They will be stamped with the actual jet size.

I bought some for our old camper trailer off eBay, that were for a European in house stove, but same thread (M5 from memory) and I grabbed a variety of sizes and tried them out.

You can drill them out, but you need to buy number drills, as they are teeny tiny holes

Replaced my 3 x 0.64 jets with 3 x 0.82. Couldn't say the thread size or pitch. Didn't fit into the thread of a standard 6mm nut. Thread pitch is finer on the nipple. Old nipple to boil 1 cup of water in a pot was 6 mins, new nipple took 3 minutes. What would have taken 20/30mins in the kettle took 6 minutes, 3 cups of water. Have to buy lots more mesh for the toaster as twice as much was glowing red and more intense. Probably 2 sizes under would be fine or just not crank it up as hot.

I have these left over from our new house stove if anyone wants them

0.55
0.58 X 3
0.62
0.70 X 2
0.90

Thread is about a 6mm metric, but finer. It only turn about a 1/3 before it binds.
