$350 for the 40L Companion fridge at Bunnings, down from $500

https://www.bunnings.com.au/companion-40l-transit-fridge-freezer_p0077002

Edit looks like NSW only at the moment.

Saw Ryobi misting fan back in stock https://www.ryobi.com.au/products/details/18v-one-misting-fan-r18mf-0

They are only available occasionally.  I really love mine as they are a great way to get cool (and a bit wet) whilst camping.

Maybe you can follow in Rick “Ricko” O’Brien’s footsteps. I see he is advertising tag-along tours for around $4k per vehicle/couple for around 4 days from Northern NSW to SEQ. Pretty high profit margin I suspect given there is no accommodation provided and the only meals are dinners.

I see it is now advertised on FB for $1890 per couple/vehicle which is not that unreasonable. I was sure it was closer to $4k when I first looked. Anyhow, just wanted to set the record straight.

Anaconda has Dometic CFX fridges on sale (in Victoria at least) if anyone is interested. They are claiming a savings of $400 - $500 dollars.

Walked into the Echuca Bunnings with xmas vouchers to burn a week or so ago. Found they had a single Ozito chainsaw on clearance. https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-brushless-chainsaw-skin-only_p0080956 it's $199 for skin only, but this one was $189 with dual charger and 2x3amp batteries as a kit  Needless to say I grabbed it and ran hehe - will be very well used while camping!
We've swapped from the camper to a van yay! :)

I've got one, I don't think you will be disappointed, especially for the price.

Got one today from Bunnings in Caloundra. Had about 10 left. They are on clearance in the kit with skin, two batts and charger. Don’t this I can go too wrong with 5 year warranty!

While I would never do a Tag along trip again my Wife and I did a 16 day Cape York trip 18 years ago which cost us around $3K. (Remember that was a lot of money back then)

For the $3K the company supplied a guide, a cook, 3 meals per day where we ate like kings, permits, barge fees etc. We had to supply own 4wd, fuel, own tent/bedding and happy hour food/drinks.

Our main reason was 18 years ago there weren’t any online maps/Hema and the sign posting at the Cape was virtually non-existent.  So having a Guide who knew the area and having access to private land made the trip very relaxing. Also the guide was a master in bush mechanics and they had both a winch on the 4WD and hand winch (Again 18 years ago winches on 4WD’s weren’t cheap)

But is today’s world with heaps on information on the web, access to online mapping, cheap winches/recovery gear and hordes of people at every destination the world of tag alongs is a dying business.
