When i order from E Bay, if the parcel is coming via Australia from the seller i dont even bother with that seller.

Waited 6 weeks for a parcel to come 3 hours down the road thru AP last year.

I message the seller and ask.

Against that, I ordered something off Amazon late Monday arvo, & it was delivered by normal postie yesterday morning ;D

Says it came from Melbourne, & the envelope had an Aus Post logo on it, & was marked "Regfast" ???

So if Amazon can (apparently ???) get things delivered by the PO quickly, why can't they do it for everybody ???

Do you have funeral insurance ???

In the last 6 months, have you made a claim on your funeral insurance ??? ::)

To be fair, they did also specify "for yourself or any other person", but still ... ;D

The ol girl ordered a new vacuum cleaner from some mob on Wednesday out of Brisbane.
I picked it yesterday from the Coominya Post Office.

I'm not sure why you ratbags give Aussie Post such a hard time.
Even in a rural area, they still look after us fine.

On another forum, we were discussing the impending closure of Target stores, & somebody put up a list of stores that are on the chopping block:

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/kmart/these-are-the-target-stores-that-will-close-and-those-that-will-turn-into-kmart--c-1054931

I had to have a smile at some of the stores that will either close, or change to Kmart, in Qld:

Casino
Goonellabah
Murwillumbah
Ocean Shores
Yamba ;D ::)

I know that originally, the Qld-NSW border was supposed to be further south than it is now, so they may be working off that ???

Or possibly it's a way around Mexicans not being allowed up here to shop ???

Hey Fizzie,
There is an imaginary boarder that transport and businesses use and it's the Clarence Valley.
BBC, years ago Ballina/Lismore were under the QLD umbrella, Yamba, Maclean & Grafton stores were NSW. Yet tv advertising that people saw was transmitted from Lismore, different pricing. When Bunnings came to the east coast, they struggled with that.
I believe Woolies, Coles and a few of the other chain stores still work on that model.

As Jon said, NSW towns but supplied from Qld.

Sometimes the border varies.  We have a Coles in Coffs Harbour and a newer one at Moonee Beach just north of Coffs.   Asked one day as one store had one product and the other didn't.  Coffs store supplied from Sydney and Moonee store supplied from Brisbane.   The stores are a whole 13.5kms apart.

Could be depending on how far the stores are from the DC ( Distribution Centres)?
One might be closer to one than the other?
Just a thought.

Coles here is Brisbane, Woolies is Sydney and we're pretty much half way on the Inland route.

When I was with Big W Coffs Harbour to Tweed fell under the Qld Group. It was based on balancing the number of stores covered by each area manager.

Yep, Cheers.
It was something Bunnings struggled with when Wesfarmers aquired BBC,
Their pricing was all over the place.
