The rain water that makes the top of the washing line post "ting"

Took us ages the first time to work out what it was, but it only happens when the tree above has enough water on the branch to then cause a drip that then hits the cap on top of the 50mm square post.

Currently have a backyard that is slightly water logged, and a driveway and front yard that is trying to become a river.

Oh, and I might have to pick wife and motorbike up... luckily she's just got herself a Grom and it fits in the back of the 80!

So glad to hear many of the fire effected areas are getting some rain, hopefully it is widespread and helps with some drought effected areas as well.
None to speak of in SA, dry start to the year 7mm in total.

We’re not fire effected, but the drought is fairly severe.

If this continues moving in a southerly direction, we could get a decent bit for the tanks

What's a Grom mate ??

One of them:

https://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Naked/GROM

Best described as a bike that is far too small for me to ride...

She'd been looking for one for ages, and then really put her mind to it last week - brand new they're only $4250 and trying to find a used one with sensible kms for less than $3k is stupid. Suddenly one popped up on Farcebook, and we ended up with a 2yr old one with 2,000km on the clock for $2500 (unregistered) - rego and insurance was only 4 fill ups of the FZJ80's tanks...

Parts of the Clarence Valley have had over 140ml of rain over night.
The dam across from us been dry for a couple of years, now it is over flowing.
Hope everyone is getting some of this liquid gold.

Seen pictures this morning that the M1 near Oxenford? I think, was closed due water over the road.
We have another 34ml since 6am, that's a rough total of over 240ml
Lets hope it is getting across the range and into western districts.

My old Man, this November he will be 90.  Rings me this morning to tell me he had 400mls of rain overnight and the new tank out the front is full.  Great News for him.

Rings me back this afternoon and says you know how I told you I had 400mls.  As the inner part of the rain gauge over flows it fills into the larger outer casing, which you tip back into the inner gauge to take the rainfall reading.  At some stage during the day he remembered the inner tube only holds 25mls not 100mls.  He had about 107mls, not over 400mls.

But his new tank is still full.
Cheers
