Ya lucky it didn't kill him..... IMO.... fairly idiotic thing to do.... bet ya wouldn't let a child do it.

Totally agree with you on that Kev.
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan. I miss being able to acces the little tracks off into the scrub.

Hey swaggers
I smiled when I found this pic of my truck, the previous owner used it to move this large 5th wheel van.

Now that I am getting it ready for sale, I could try this, after all, it uses less fuel than a Silverado, more comfortable to drive, manouvres better. With a 13 litre 460 hp engine, you'd be on the $ every inch of the way, and when the Mrs gets on your..... There is a comfy bunk that is Airconditioned to sleep in....
Thoughts?
Here is why I am selling it, I need an extra axle. Camper anyone????

Used to buy my air rifle pellets and skate board parts from K Mart.
Years ago the Broad beach  store was clearing out parts so I bought box’s of Holley rebuild kits, jets and power valves for next to nothing.

Use to have the Holley Bible, a good mate has it now.
Part numbers, what holley was for what motor(Amercia, holley's were on factory cars), what power valve to use with a size jet, depending on Cam lift.
Them were the days.
Cheers

What a great resource of info.
I had a 600 square bore on my 302 Cleveland XC Fairmont,  serial numbers were for a 302 Cleveland from a 82 Mustang, C4 auto, 2.75 diff gears.

Once you got familiar with the set ups, the world opened up.
Use to get a kick out of seeing the look on the guys faces at the local performance store, when I'd rattle off the part number for a power valve or jet size.

These days it would be a rare thing to have an under 30 know how to set spark plugs or pionts.

Life was simple then :)

Piece of a Hacksaw blade with the paint worn off, Was the correct setting for plugs and points .. On a lot of our cars, went pretty bloody good too .
Mates 250 XA Falc used to pop a big Blue / orange flame from the exhaust, on the engine over run on the up / down shifts ..The big open exhaust helped with that in a big way too ... ;D ;D

Found it, only $9.95 from Griffiths book stores.
Also found my work shop manuals for HZ kings woods and VB Commodores.
I wonder if these will ever be worth anything ?

Think I may still have a box of ammo with a K-Mart label on it in the safe ???

But that was almost a fortnights wages for me at the time, when I joined the RAAF. I bought a Winchester Model 70A .243 around that time for about $170.00 brand new. I also had a Brno Model 2 .22 I bought from a mate for $50.00
4.2L TD Toyota Troopy, (Clarke's Country Camper Trailer, softfloor.) sold it and bought a Avan Ray small poptop caravan. I miss being able to acces the little tracks off into the scrub.
