Burrumbuttock Hay Run coming into Armidale today.

The sense of pride in other Aussies is really strong, and the willingness to help one another has really shown through.

Only worry is that there might be some who don't get an allocation even though they've put in...

I am a committee member of The Lawrence Rodeo, our rodeo in 2018 gave $27 000.00 back to the local communitty. We had enough funds to purchase $25 000.00 worth of hay, have trucked to drought stricken areas between Warrick and Tamworth to farmers that support local rodeo's, our biggest fear was that those that needed it most would not recieve it.
What we did was, we found out who there locally was organising hay for that desperately needed it and donated money for them to purchase it on our behalf.
It was then distributed accordingly.
That worked well.

It is a hard one to decide who is deserving of help sometimes.
This is true also of floods of past years, here in the Clarence, some people claimed goverment assistance when they were not effected.

Still, Austrians are awesome in times of need, great to see.

I moved house about 3 years ago.
Packed boxes etc. etc.
Moved house twice since and today I was cleaning out towels and sorting some into rags, some into car towels etc.

Finally found the new ipad I bought 3 years ago. Nice and safely wrapped in a towel!!!

Waking up this morning knowing that I live in a great country.
Despite the hardships we encounter we still keep getting back up for more.
The misses and I have just spent 6 days in Adelong NSW. Some of the farmers stories are tragic but every single one of them I have met are determined not to be beaten by drought, fire or flood.
Their resilience is amazing.
A great example for so many people who think they are so hard done by.
Aussie spirit at its best.
Happy Australia Day everyone

Went to the local Australia Day Parade at Camden (NSW) and what a good turnout by the locals.

During the parade the RFS by far received the longest and loudest cheer

Finally getting around to putting up the old camper tent, getting some photos, and putting it on FB and Gumtree.

I didn't even get to link to it on here, after it being a lawn ornament for over a year, it was gone in a few hours for the (realistic) asking price.
