G’day Hairs, it was a tough year mate after we lost our youngest bloke. But, it is more than time to get back into the things that make me happy and keep me occupied. Pam and I plan to get the camper out n about more this year. I have been keeping a close eye on the forum but haven’t posted up much.

Had a NSW Highway patrol car do a U turn in front of us and go full throttle  on the limiter,  back past us on the way home ..  Those SRT Chrysler 300C's are WICKED ..
You could feel the pounding pulse and vibrations from the exhaust in your chest,  not to mention the noise from it ..
Wow ! this thing was Intense  Grunt all the way ..
Got to speak to a HWP officer a few days earlier [ Random Breath test ] that had one, asked him [ decent fella too ] about them & handling etc .. He reckons he didnt like the 300's at first,  but they do grow on you and the handling isnt too bad for such a big car,   the power they have is way better than the other cars they had so thats a plus ..   ;D

We've got one running around here (as well as a BMW) and they do sound good...

Talking to my brother, we reckon that NSW HWP is the only thing keeping that part of FCA alive in Australia... otherwise, who is buying them?

Seeing the ways various communities are coming together to help each other - has made me smile - even out of really tough times - condolences to those experiencing the fires and especially those who have lost loved ones.

I've decided not to share any pollie bashing or negative news on my social media - only positive vibes this year...    Peace Swaggers

I attended today a memorial service for a bloke  I have known for over 26 years, we weren't mates, just a couple of blokes that bumped in each other.
20 years ago Garry was stuck down with a tumor on the brain.
He was given 3 years tops, He refused all the treatments from doctors, he grew his own marijuana, he searched out alternative medicines.
Every year the cops would come and bust him for growing is small crop, he never ever sold it. He fronted court, copped the fine.
He was a Brickies labourer, built his own place, struggled with life and he raised three beautiful kids who are now adults, they have kids(which he got to see and spend time with), his amazing wife taught our three kids at our local Communitty Preschool, where I would spend time with him rebuilding kids equipment, laying pavers/concrete and attend functions/ fund raising events.
From the Day he was given that sentence, he started to wear Hawaiian shirts everywhere, to work, school functions, he always had Zinc on his nose, no matter if the event was of a night.
What an example to all he was.
So today we celebrated his life at the Yamba Tavern, everyone wore a Hawaiian, Zinc cream, thongs(with & without socks).
This is what life is about, enjoying it no matter what it throws at you, AND being a good person, it is not that hard to be a good person.
Cheers.

Really didn't know where you mention this, but it seems like a good thing, so here goes ...

We've spoken several times about mental health, especially for those out bush, & here's someone actually trying to do something about it! :D

I'm not suggesting anybody do anything one way or the other - i'm just putting it out for your info :D

Twiggy is worth about 9 Billion.

So the average Australian with a mortgage, couple of kids and living week to week donates $50 is actually making a bigger sacrifice.

But good on Twiggy.

But good on Twiggy.

If you are talking just percentages, then it is equivalent to the average Australian household donating about $7700. Good on him and everyone else who has put their hand in their pocket I say.

GME radios  :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup:`

We are honoured to assist in the ongoing bushfire relief efforts by donating 80 UHFs to help keep people safe and connected in bushfire affected areas. Our thoughts are with all those affected by these devastating fires.

We will have more announcements regarding this space in the near future.

I am smiling at the naivety of some people on the daily rant thread its just so cute ;D

Apparently Iran and the US can trade rockets but it is still surprising to them that fuel has gone up.

There can be a bush fire that damages a companies infrastructure but it is surprising that their electricity bill is going up.
