Maybe they drive to the maximum speed that the car manufacturer dictates
https://www.mynrma.com.au/cars-and-driving/buying-a-car/features/towing-speed-limits

Maybe but the way the caller spoke it was 'law', not a manufactuer's restriction.

My parents were there this week, said it was chaos, but not with grey nomads like you might think, but families taking their kids on the climb before it shuts. Took them an hour and a half to get diesel. A very small cynical part of me wonders if the boost to the coffers this brings will see an extension to the closing date, like the "rug store closing down sale" not very likely though given the overall drop in numbers climbing it.

was chaos out there last year also....not that bad when we arrived as our kids get 3 weeks holidays and we left for there the second week when most were returning home, but the week prior to us getting there was absolute mayhem a local security guy from the resort told me.

My missus is there atm, sent me a vid this morning of the approach road, like the Monash on a Friday morning.
The climb up looked like the footage of Everest that was in the press a month ago.

Just got an e-mail through that's talking about the places with the most awesome sunrises Oz wide.

First one on the list though is, Broome ???

"The iconic Cable Beach in Broome is one of Australia’s most iconic landscapes where 22 kms of white sand meets bright blue water. But the beach isn’t just famous for its iconic camel rides but the uninterrupted views are the perfect place to settle in and watch the sun creep out from the ocean."

Always knew WA was so far away that it may as well be in another country, but never realised it was so far away that the sun comes up the opposite way! ::) >:D

Old 80 series cruiser pulls up, lady jumps out and chocks the rear wheel, goes off and fill a couple of water jerries, loads them back in, grabs the wheel chock and dives back into the drivers seat as the truck starts to roll away

Received my Westpac insurance renewal for my investment property that was flooded in Townsville earlier this year. It went up about 15% but I was expecting a lot worse. It was already a lot cheaper than the likes of Suncorp and they have been great to work with in terms of getting the repairs underway.
