There's a brand new house being built to the east of us.
Yesterday, the roof was going on... it would've been friggin hot up there with glare off the tin sheets.
I know they use gloves, but those tin sheets would be red hot.
Then, around 3:30, right at the peak of the heat, I checked the weather radar, beauty, gotta storm headed our way
Shit... Shit.. Shit, out with the ladder, and up on the roof i go, to check all the gutters of every and down pipe
The house, the granny flat, the sheds, the works, i'm not gunna miss one drop of water.
The heat was killer up there too, but made sure we were ready to receive.
About maybe an hour later, we got maybe 10 drops of rain...seriously, if you pooled all the drops together, it wouldn't fill a teacup.
The storm just fell apart coming down the range.
Our water supply is just above half at the moment and some wet stuff would've been nice.
Oh well, at least I was only on the roof for 45 minutes.
The roofers next door had it tough, didn't make me smile, but it did make me smirk a bit.
