More what made the wife smile......I've finally gotten around to building a built in cupboard in our bedroom over the  Xmas break, the misses has only been waiting about 8 years for that to get built (she said I could buy the Kimberley Kamper if I gave her a new kitchen and reno'd our bedroom, the kitchen got done but she's still waiting on the rest of the bedroom)...lol....so much nicer having it built though, we've cleared the room of all the clothes that were stacked up everywhere and hung the tv on the wall after losing the tallboy it sat on previously. Just gotta get some custom made sliding doors made for the cupboard now, then eventually I'll gut the rest of the bedroom and resheet it all with new ornamental cornice and new power point locations etc., but can't rush that.

Pulled into my local servo to grab a drink and put some air in my tyres this afternoon, guy in an old 90’s corolla hatch back pulls up to the air hose gets out and proceeds to pump his bald tyres up to 50psi... Now when I say bald I mean BALD! So I casually walk over and mention that pumping them up that high when in such poor condition might not be the best idea, the reply was along the lines of “go forth and multiply” and “what would you know!” So I left him to his own devices, waited for him to leave and did my tyres, after putting the pump back to a more comfortable 33psi, and then left the servo, about 1 kilometre down the road parked on the side of the road was a 90’s corolla hatchback with 2 flat tyres!! Me being me couldn’t resist pulling up alongside and asking “Need a hand?” The reply again wasn’t very polite.

That made me smile!

Oh man, what a good week-end.

The swagger that bought the little red ute told me a little while back it had started to run pretty warm again.  ???
So it was delivered out here just before Xmas at my request, as I needed to sort it.

The first radiator guy I used about 8 weeks ago, was reluctant to open the radiator and power flushed it and it did run nice and cool, until half the crap the HE DIDN'T GET OUT BLOCKED IT UP AGAIN. Jesus H Christ.

Found a bloke In Gatton, who was more than happy to sweat the tanks off and do it properly and the radiator came up roses.
After 2 road tests totaling 86 klm, its cool bananas for the little red ute now.
It was picked up Saturday morning and i'm really happy with the temp its running, out of pocket a few dollars, but as I said, i'm happy and more importantly,  so is the swagger.  :cup:

Gave the Caddy a nice sponge and bubble bath on Saturday, scrubbed the white walls to a gleaming white sheen.
Dressed the black bits with some tyre shine ready for an early kick off Sunday morning.

Out the front gate at 6:10am to get our arses to a cars and coffee get together, where I caught up with Greg Thomsen and Col Dunn from our days running in the Wild Bunch racing.
Had good time, sat down to breakfast in a café, which we seldom do these days.

At 9:45, into the Cheesecake Shop for a pav.... $30.00  :o and off the Redland Bay to catch up some friends.
BEE U TEE FUL house, on the esplanade overlooking the bay. Doug and Nat have done well.
We celebrated Mrs. Jeepers turning 57 years old/young on Saturday.
Spent hours in the pool, got sunburnt, we ate well, couple of beers, all those things we love to do on a Sunday, before shuffling home in air conditioned Cadillac comfort.
I tell ya, you have to experience a Cadillac ride, to appreciate, just how nice 64 model car can be.
That magic carpet ride, is better than any car we've ever owned, even the new Caprice Mrs. Jeepers had back in 2009.

Nice lazy 250klm round trip, and except for the horrendous fuel consumption, what a cracker of a week-end.

Did you know, with a Cadillac, if they see a Service Station, they turn the indicator on by themselves and just drive on in to it.
No pulling the opposite way on the wheel will stop them and they always head for the premium pumps too.  ???  :'(
