Just another "Americanism" used by some academically brainwashed purveyor of dubious occurrences, so as to appear competent.
We're getting overrun with verbosity with the use of terms such as "It happened right next door"instead of "It happened next door". What if it was on the other side of the place? ;D

Don't worry Steffo, on the Caddy forums, i'm teaching them some good Aussie slang to even the score a little bit.

He is certainly not on his own, all colours and parties are out n about in the Petrie seat including the one nation candidate. I along with my wife had to do a double take when we seen the name but more so the photo of that one nation candidate. I though Pauline had strong views on non Anglo- non white folk. Maybe she makes exceptions, the candidate would have a good chance of being voted in by his neighbours from the suburbs like Bracken Ridge etc.

Strong views on illegal immigration and letting foreigners buy up Australian land maybe.

As she said 2 days ago. “I don’t care if you’re white, black or brindle. I have always called for equal treatment of all Australians.”

Toby is used to riding with at least something broken. Have a read through his career here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toby_Price

But he wins because he rides all out, so there's no surprise he gets injured now and then.

It’s going to be a long few months. We’ve got Clive Palmer’s billboards, text message and now watching the tennis I am being bombarded with his TV ads. Grrrgh!  ???
So you haven't tried his mobile game app then?
It's all getting a bit bizarre.....

He's already in trouble for the game soundtrack which parodies a Boy George song. Much like his recent Twisted Sister song dramas he's seems to be going for the 'any publicity is good publicity' strategy.

He already has a business deal style boardgame, where the objective is to create billions starting with nothing but your father's millions.

But onto my own rant. I have a bubble level glued to the A-frame of my swan, been there about as long as I've had it. Went to level up and open it yesterday and the bubble's gone! I looked all around the area where the camper lives, but it's nowhere to be found, it had to have been stolen. What kind of low life bastard would steal a man's bubble??? Starting to lose my faith in humanity.

Well it seems Innisfail's controversially named "The Battered Wife" fish & chip shop is set to close.

The owner is a former policewoman who named it to raise awareness of domestic violence.
It seems not everyone appreciated the name.

Funny how a so-called 'anti-abuse' organisation can threaten to throw bricks through a business window over a name. Also accused her of child exploitation. Sounds like they specialise in abuse and bullying to me ???
Why wasn't that cowardly organisation named in the article I wonder?

One rule for one "mob" that the police wont arrest 1/2 the time as courts do nothing to them... and another for the shop owner whose shop was 1/2 destroyed
Tasmania had the right idea.

Quote
Security footage has captured a violent mob storming a Perth grocery store, attacking staff and ransacking shelves, after the shop’s frustrated owner detained a nine-year-old shoplifter.

The citizen’s arrest has landed the owner of the Kelmscott IGA with a serious deprivation of liberty charge, but those behind the retaliation attack are yet to face any consequences.

The vision obtained exclusively by 9News shows the 41-year-old storeman being cornered by six people on December 30th, before he’s punched twice in the head

The mob grows as more people storm the Albany Highway store, trashing property and raiding shelves as stunned customers look on.

Store goods and rocks are hurled at staff; one is showered in debris and so petrified he cowers behind the counter, as a young woman helps herself to packets of cigarettes.

The ambush was in response to the store’s owner performing a citizen’s arrest on a nine-year-old boy trying to leave the shop with a stolen bottle of Coca-Cola just minutes earlier.

The shopkeeper, a father-of-one, can be seen in the security footage grabbing the would-be thief then dragging him through the shop before locking him in an office.

Lawyer John Hammond said the shop owner was fed up after the boy stole from him just two days earlier.

Seems the shop owner will be charged for detaining the thief.
Poor bloke - He's had 40 shoplifting thefts in the last 9 months, this group of kids was apparently causing trouble - he probably just had enough and snapped.

Family is whinging about how the little thief is "traumatised" about being locked in a storeroom and injured himself breaking a window to escape.
Boo hoo. Maybe he should have been taught not to steal stuff instead of learning how to playing the victim card again and again....

At least some of the mob may be charged as well. That is a positive.

So store owner knows from now on not to detain them, but smash **** out of them with a club - your going to get arrested anyway, you may as well make it worth while.

Not much better than what I've read about Townsville...……... ::) ::)

You are right. Townsville is just as bad a the moment -  we have 12-15yo indigenous brats stealing cars and ramming police cars. If they crash, they leave their injured mates in the car and run. Usually off their face from chroming.
You cannot leave your doors unlocked even if you are home. Work colleague a while back had his keys & wallet stolen of the kitchen bench while he watched TV a few metres away.
One neighbour in her eighties had a stranger come to the door recently waving a bit of wood and demand that she let him in.
The drug dealer two doors down from us has been raided numerous times but not jailed. A few weeks ago, a disgruntled acquaintance of his was yelling in the street at him and throwing rocks through his windows.
His mate over the road has been jailed previously on drugs & weapons charges. Last night there was an ambulance & three police cars at that place. Haven't heard what happened yet.

UK bloke riding around the world clocking up 11,000kms through Europe and Asia had his bike stolen.....where? ....in Townsville of course.

Last September we drove through from Toowoomba to Sunshine Coast via Esk & Kilcoy. Coming into the Sunshine Coast from the south west there are some really nice spots in that area.

Once the last kid finishes school.....might be time for a tree change. I am a bit over Townsville.
