Flat Pack Fire Pits for Camping
« on: September 20, 2019, 08:31:37 PM »
I have been making these Flat Pack Fire Pits for awhile now and have had nothing but good feedback from people who have bought and used them.
$195.00 plus postage.  Can deliver Brisbane, Toowoomba area within reason.

The Fire Pits are precision laser cut, folded and fabricated from 3mm Australian/NZ Steel.
Although primarily designed for camping and caravaning, your fire pit will create a great mood setting for family and friends to gather around in the back yard entertainment area as well.  It is designed to pack flat and to take up very little room so it can be easily taken anywhere and is suitable for camping, caravaning and use at home.

Imagine sitting outside with family and friends on a beautiful night under a cosmic sky covered with twinkling stars and enjoying the magic of a crackling fire, while giving off a warm glow from within your fire pit.
Unique Features:
•   Designed to be strong, lightweight and transportable, while taking very up little room.
•   Use for camping or at home in the back yard.
•   Folded edges are designed to maximise strength to avoid bucking under heat and weight of firewood.
•   Can sit around all 4 sides to keep warm on those cool or cold evenings.
•   Use anytime for light and ambience.
•   No tools, bolts or screws required.
•   Sets up in less than 30 seconds.
•   All Australian designed and made from 3mm Australian/NZ black steel.
•   Steel is left untreated illuminating the risk of toxic fumes or contamination of food.
•   Fuel efficient design burns wood very economically using less wood than an open fire on the ground.
•   Unique ventilation contains all ash within the fire pit, so no ash falls on the ground.
•   Can be used for cooking by placing frying pans, camp ovens, rotisserie, jaffle iron, billy’s, kettle, grill or a hot plate onto fire pit.
•   Comes with a canvas bag to keep fire pit from contaminating surrounding camp gear during transport.
•   Has cooking capabilities with integrated cross bar slots.
•   The fire pit is supplied with 5 cross bars for placing cooking utensils on top of fire pit.
•   2 cross bars have specially designed hooks on one end which can be used to lift and move the assembled fire pit around by the 12mm hole in either end of the assembled fire pit.  Suitable gloves must be worn when moving Fire Pit around.
Specifications:
•   620 x 400 x 40mm when flat in canvas bag.
•   590L x 320W x 340H when setup for use.

Ive got a similar design, theyre great.
Not a criticism, but dont worry about getting your name laser cut, you need as much rigidity in the plate as you can get, cause they will warp a bit over time.

Hey Glenm64, and that’s the truth, especially when a numb nut relative puts the fire out with a bucket of water 😢😢
We've waited 45 years to do this. Now our life will be complete!!

Thanks for the comments guys.
bmwfreak - You would be right about adding water to a hot metal fire pit.

FYI - The Wazza and Tigerland fire pits have been used extensively throughout QLD/NT over last 6 months by 2 different groups and are still assembling and unassembling as easy as.  The folds are designed to provide strength and prevent buckling under heat and/or load of wood.
