THE MY19 TRITON PACKS A SERIOUS PUNCH
« on: December 21, 2018, 09:32:17 PM »
Packed with the latest technology and styling, the MY19 Mitsubishi Triton means business when it come to work and play. With 2x4 and 4x4 configurations available in the Single, Club and Double cab bodies mated with a 3.1 tonne tow capacity, it’s not just a pretty face when it comes to finding the perfect Sport Utility.

Under the bonnet a super-responsive 2.4L DOHC MIVEC turbo diesel engine offers up 133kW of power and a massive 430Nm of torque at only 2500rpm. The new lightweight design puts out more power than previous models, yet still achieves outstanding economy whilst putting out lower emissions. This mated with either a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission, gives you the perfect choice to suit your driving style. The Automatic transmission also features Sports Mode which allows drivers to change gears much like a manual, but with the luxury of letting the car do it for you when you just want to relax and drive.

When it comes to taking the Triton off road, you can leave your worries behind and rest assured that the Triton will tackle almost anything you throw at it. With Super Select II 4WD, Easy Select 4WD, Off Road Mode and a locking rear differential available in most models, you’ll be hard pressed to put the Triton into a situation it can’t handle. It also features an 11.8m turning circle, so getting out of tight spots in the bush, or simply getting the right spot at the shopping centre is a breeze.

With the cargo load in the Double Cab providing an ample 1520mm and 1850mm in the Club Cab, there’s plenty of room for your gear and in the event of loads shifting, the cargo bed rear corners are reinforced to prevent damage. The Double Cab 4x4 models have a 3.1 tonne braked towing capacity and are more than capable of pulling your boat, trailer or work equipment with ease.

If safety is a priority for you, then the MiTEC system offers occupants one of the safest rides around. Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assistance and Lane Departure Warning all keep you out of trouble and in the unfortunate event of an impact, the revolutionary Mitsubishi Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) will keep you protected. It’s not hard to see why the Triton received a 5-star ANCAP rating.

It doesn’t stop there though! Forward Collision Mitigation, Hill Descent Control, Auto High Beam lights, Active Stability Control, Active traction Control, Trailer Stability Assist and Hill Start Assist are just some of the benefits the Triton has, not to mention Auto Rain Sensing Wipers and Auto Dusk Sensing Headlights. The driving experience in the Triton is always relaxing and enjoyable because you’re in one of the safest cars on the road!

Available in seven different colours and three different trim variations, the Triton can be built to suit your individual tastes and with a stack of great items in Mitsubishi’s Genuine Accessories range, you can leave the dealership knowing you’ve got exactly what you were hoping for.

Has the issue that has plagued Triton been fixed or strengthened. The bending of the chassis.
