Honest opinion of 4wd supacentre gear

Does anyone know what prices the actual physical stores charge? Because I get 4 emails a day with different prices, I don't know if it's worth just going in there one day and buying what I need

They charge what their emails say minus the p&h costs.  Sometimes they even struggle to keep up with the price changes in the emails.

I got my drawers from the shop in Adelaide. They charged a bit more than the email prices, but I was happy to pay the extra as I was able to check out the item before I bought it.

I have one of their 60 litre fridges. It's one of the first they had which was a rebranded Waeco. It's a fantastic fridge and uses bugger all power. Not sure about the current ones. They look cheap

Yeah might pay to go in. Mainly interested in their 200w solar mat. It seems to be around the $330 mark depending on whether or not they include the freight or charge extra for it

They vary from day to day for charging postage on top or included in the price. However it's always about the same amount once you take into account the postage

I can find reviews of their solar panels that are less than stellar but no reviews of the mats. The price seems pretty keen for a 250W mat but the low price raises my "BEWARE" meter a bit.

These seem better value at $369 delivered
The specs and sizing seem to be about 25% greater than supercentre ones for similar money

I've recently got the Maxray 160watt matt and tested them over the long weekend and all seems fine. I haven't used their controller mind you so can't comment on that

My favourite topic.

I've had a kings awning for 4 years.  Been all over australia and it's still sitting well on my roofracks.  The awning itself is fine.  Tie it down on windy days and it doesn't flap around too much.  If it threatening to rain, just drop one corner to ensure the water drains off.  I don't see the need to compete against the three letter brands to see who can make the biggest swimming pool on top of the awning.

Also have their light bars, battery isolator, scan gauge, 160W solar panel, 'chair bags' for the kids, LED camp light, 12v shower.  All no issues.

Their stuff has improved our camping experience.  We generally go somewhere every two-three weeks so everything is well used.

We have the Supapeg Rapid Wing on the right side of the car and a Bob Burrage awning on the left, both around 8yrs old, both Australian made and both made to last and both take about 3 to 5mins to put up.

my awning cost more then all that about 12 years ago....lol. Mines still going strong on my second vehicle, so horses for courses.  I had 2 mates break thier Kings awnings the same night we camped together in a big downpour, even with a big slope on thier awnings the material still sagged and pooled water until they broke....atleast at that price you don't care so much.

Yes very annoying, was looking at Rooftop tents for the daughters Amarok, in the end she didn't like them and is sticking with a swag.

She has 2 now, one for the bike and one for the 4B and on the bike a tent a sleeping bag as well, going to the 2nd round of the Aussie Superbikes this weekend, gunna test out the new tent a Vango Pulsar 3 man tent, weighs 3.5kg and packs down to 48.0 x 17.0cm.
